*how the ♥♥♥♥ can you tell gender at all in that armor outside of the voice option?*
The previous three games seemed to be able to provide a distinction just fine without being tasteless or descriminatory.
I mean, that's not changing the armor plates on the suit though. I've messed with the body type slider in the game and it didn't exactly make the chest plate look any different.
Is that what there asking for here, boob armor?
Again, the previous three games were able to take these things into account and make visibly different male and female body types without having boob armor or anything like that. You are aware that there are more physiological differences between men and women than boobs, right?
Thank you. This is exactly a point I'd made earlier about the anatomy between men and women. Preach it!
These 2 things here all the way. Females just don't exist in Halo Infinite past voices for Spartans.
And in response to the guy talking about steroids. S4s are the least modified of all Spartans so they would have the most obvious differences along with a peak conditioned female looks different from peak conditioned male by a long shot. It isn't steroids they are on but simply cybernetics and a slight bioweave throughout some muscles and skin. Halo 4 and 5 portrayed this pretty well for the 4s (your MP character is a S4 have fun with that). Even S3s had very little changes compared to S2s. S2s even are recognizable between male and female and they were the most changed.
Otherwise, stop talking.
These body types we have now are just lazy.
This is one of the most balanced takes on here. everyone has their reasons for what they want, but there should be a wider variety of types available to choose from.
Some people want to look traditionally feminine, some people will want to look incredibly buff and traditionally masculine. The idea is to have choice. They already allow you to choose a voice regardless of the body type you select—awesome, that's great.
But there is this weird aversion to more femme aesthetics in the western gaming industry for some reason thats been increasing over time, as if it's always offensive to people. It doesn't surprise me Infinite did it too, but it really limits the choice for a game that was very loud of their self-proclamations that you could express yourself however you deem fit—as long as it's not overly feminine, because that makes investors nervous.
It all aligns with lore to make it have multiple body types. Give us the female body types from Reach, 4 and maybe 5 then the males of Reach 4 and 5. Infinite's pre-existing bodies could be used as well gives a good amount of options that really shouldn't upset anyone with that many.
