Stutter but high frame rate?
So I've noticed something that has been a persistent issue (at least for me) across all Halo titles since MCC. I'm supposedly getting 120+ fps in game, but it feels nowhere near that. I then was reminded of this same issue from the Master Chief Collection; High frame rate, yet feels stuttery. They eventually fixed this, but they chalked it up to animations being locked to 60 fps causing the feeling of stutter. However the issue is now reintroduced with Infinite.

Anyone else feeling this?

EDIT: From what I have been researching, the term I believe that is affecting the game is "Interpolation" and/or Frame Pacing. Odd how this has existed not only in the entire MCC library on their perspective launch, but existed in the test flight for Infinite several months ago, to STILL be an issue on launch today. I'm not sure why this continues to be a problem at this point.

I have the same issue, locked to 117fps to get Gsync working but feel stutter.

guessing you haven't found a work around for this then?

Not yet, still trying, I just tested other games that feel butter smooth at 80-90fps, meanwhile, Halo feels like 30fps when the FPS counter shows 100+.

Use in game min and max fps option, set to same e.g. 120fps

Game has a weird CPU choke which throws frametimes everywhere. No other options in game will reduce it except Minimum Framerate.

I've done that. Unfortunately no change.

I'm pretty sure it's bugged so don't use the in-game FPS limit, make sure it's set to unlocked. Use RTSS or Nvidia control panel instead to cap your FPS. Same goes for v-sync.

The in-game minimum FPS option is fine though, haven't had issues with that.

Yeah I am feeling this a lot right now, I hope they fix it. If everyone submits a ticket on Halo Support and they will likely look into it.

Same for me. Getting close to 144 fps, but mouse feels like it's stuttering.

I’m getting insane frame rate drops and it never recovers. Happens during ranked matches and makes it completely unplayable.

Same. I blame that there is no Exclusive Fullscreen, but seen some rebuke saying that with DirectX 12 games it doesn't matter. Whatever it is though it's annoying and doesn't feel great.

I had that in Reach on release and locking frame rate at 60fps fixed it.

I since replayed Reach and it was fixed I think; pretty sure.
