"its not that bad" *is literally worse than every other battle pass on the market in both price and hours needed*
due to the diminishing returns of the pass XP once the weekly challenges are done your looking at maybe 5 levels a week as long as you clear everything, which is 4.6 months.... so yeah unless you play literally this game and nothing but this game for 4 and a half months you wont max the battle pass.
originally they planned a new pass every three months, however the second has been delayed, but once they return to that 3 month schedule its going to be tough to max a battle pass without additional payment before starting the next, extremely difficult.
there is a full price game its called "campaign" and you have to buy it, just this time you dont get the multiplayer suite because that is "free"

2. its unlimited, you can unlock season 1 in 2043 if everything still exists by then even
3. since when were cosmetics a huge part of halo? halo 3 literally only has like 3 different sets to choose from, and its not like youre gonna praise someones cosmetics for twenty minutes during a match
4. its a beta, theres no doubt gonna be cosmetics you can earn for free later on, i mean theres already a free shaders set, and itd be weird if they didnt add some campaign rewards or occasional challenges to give some cosmetics, and maybe theyd give a helmet or shader once or twice every few years like they do already with MCC
The core issue is that the it's only free to justify the battle pass, and distracting from the fact that the actual money costing parts of game development are going to be more than covered by the base game. battle pass only is also just a horrible method for all unlocks anyway, every game before this is example enough
Every game before this was a premium game.
Infinite being free is a matter of accessibility, which was proven by the fact that it took less than 3 hours after it was launched by surprise to be the most popular and viral MGS title on Steam ever.
If you want the old Halo systems so badly they are literally being sold in the MCC. You can go there. One free to play title that millions of people are enjoying is not going to kill you.
