DMR only took 5 shots to to both Break shield Kill.
Commando takes 8 head shots, OR 13 Body shots to fully kill another player.
DMR had better bullet magnetism,
Commandos Bullet mag is so weak that it deactivates at half the range that the DMR had.
I have this disgustingly weird feeling that you're a 343i mole, or a fanboy Shill.
Every time I see ANY of your posts in the forums its always in defense of some extremely stupid design choices that 343i has made.

Halo already had an extremely functional formula for combat by the time Reach was around.
The weapon is functionally worse than the Battle Rifle,
if it has literally just been a version of the DMR, it would be 100% less awful than it is.
Where its currently stands
Its a weapon that has NO kill potential, only in the cases that its being used to clean up enemies that area ALREADY near dead.
The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing takes 8 consecutive head shots or 13 body shots to kill any enemy player. Its faster if you are spamming the ♥♥♥♥ out of your shots, but you do understand that every click on the mouse throws your aim off by a couple pixels?
On top of that, its Bullet magnetism, Bloom, AND weapon kick is high.
You have to be playing on a controller, or LITERALLY hacking, to be the type of player to perfectly kill with the commando.
The Battle Rifle?
Has a TimeToKill of 1.55 seconds, with only 4 burst shots required.
The Commando is awful, OBJECTIVELY awful.
It's really not meant to be the DMR though as evidenced by that shorter range, and automatic fire option. Like I said earlier I think were experimenting with a BR replacement but decided to just go back to using the BR. The DMR in this game currently would be the Stalker Rifle.
Commando is inferior compared to starting weapons like assault rifle, br or pistol.
But not need 8 headshots.
Headshot on shield in this game not do more damage.
You can hit 7 bullets everywhere you want and get the headshot when the shield is breaked for the kill.
On pc is not hard with mouse, the recoil is really low compared to others pc fps multiplayer.
But the fact itself you need to do a minimum of control of the weapon recoil, make commando inferior.
With weapons like br, pistol and even ar, you don't need to do a recoil control.
Except for personal preferences there aren't reasons to take the commando over br/pistol/ar, this weapons are simple better and easier to use in majority of the situations compared to the commando.
Doesn't really change the fact that it sucks at the range it suppose to be effective at.
If its suppose to somewhere between a BR and a shotgun, you're better off using the BR or the Shotgun. Or for ♥♥♥♥♥ sake, even the Sickkick pistol, since its a 6 tap headshot and shorter TTK at basically the same range as the commando.
2 FULL shots less than the commando, and its BulletMag is also so so much better.
Otherwise,
The Stalker Rifle really doesn't feel that great to use,
Its Bullet Mag feels non-existent, even if you're practically looking square at your enemies forehead. Likely because of how Infinity handles Latency and how hit boxes are registered.
Frankly, Ive had more sucess getting kills with it going exclusively for bodyshots.
Addendum: After looking at some footage of it.
Unscoped it has almost No Bullet Magnetism.
Even scoped, it has no Magnetism past medium range.
The thing is nothing like the DMR.
The AR, pistol and BR are 100 times easier and more consistent to use. AND you are punished for missing so you have to ease up which increases the TTK even more.
The Commando has little place in the weapon sandbox.
