Is anyone else having issues with crashing?
Hey all, I wanted to pose a question on an issue I've been having since starting to play on a new rig (16GB Ram, RTX 2060, 11th gen i7 @ 2.5GHz), that being, after around 8 minutes, my PC will do two things with the game. Either it'll crash, or it'll crash and restart my PC as a result. It's also a Windows 11 machine, so, if anyone knows anything more, please share it. I'm honestly at a loss as for what's causing it beyond OS and maybe Processor. Thanks in advance.

Lots of people are but it is for different reasons i.e. bad configurations, third party conflicts, anti virus softwares, etc.

What are the driver versions for your RTX and your W11?
Is this a recent issue i.e. since the fiesta patch tuesday morning?
Have you checked the crash log to determine what exception caused the hard crash?
Have you uninstalled the HD texture pack?
Are you playing on steam or MS app?
Did W11 install with metered connection active? If so disable it in the W11 network/properties tab.

Generally if you crash to desktop there is a configuration issue with the game -> gpu, or a conflict while it is processing something in the gpu i.e. an overlay or other program.

Some benign things like the particle effects render differently so setting exposure and full screen effects down to around 10 sometimes works.

If it is enabled, try disabling full-screen optimization for the game in the steam library/properties/compatibility (this requires a computer restart to clear the cache so it doesn't load up old settings).

I've been using the steam version so I'm not sure if it'll work any better

Thanks! I'll check on those. Also, yeah, it is one that's been about since Tuesday

my game doesnt crash but my cpu usage is high and gpu usage low
my specs are
rtx 3060

It's the game not your PC. It sure is a cpu hog too. Some people have success at minimising (not eliminating) crashes by capping fps in game at 120 (or 60) and turning off everything under sensory. However, the biggest cause was/is the HD texture pack DLC that steam installs by default - remove that, if you haven't already and that should lessen the crashes.

Yes it is for me. I never had one crash until then - now it crashes Gamepass version and here on Steam within 2 mins of gameplay. Why since the update?

I've gotten crash to desktops multiple times for the first time the past week or so, no error messages just an abrupt crash, itll freeze up my steam sometimes too needing me to force quit the app and restart.

My game just crashes to desktop. Always has since it released and I find it hard to enjoy the game with it constantly happening, when it's clearly not my fault.

I can't even start the game anymore.
It stutters extremely bad on loading and then crashes when the title screen appears.

I take it you've tested hardware with things like mem test etc given it's a new rig? Or tried a different game that's demanding graphically?
