You'll have to wait for 343i to fix the crashing issue (Which is pretty much a GPU related problem).
Buying some Catears might motivate them, so i advice you to do that.
Also is it the steam version only or did you try micrsoft/xbox app as well?
The 2070 should handle it on start up so it is a different issue.
verify the steam file wasn't set to compatibility mode?
clear download cache?
uninstalled hd texture pack?
uninstalled overclocking program?
razer keyboard? disable razer synapse
is your date/time set correctly (1 minute off causes an exception)?
tried without anti-virus running?
tried launching the exe file manually in the steam folder as an administrator and not through the steam app?
tried turning off the windows game mode in settings?
343 developed a program that has issues with other programs. I think they are going to worry about the issues that affect all users like BTB and desync, before issues that affect a small player base such as those using OC software.
It took them 8 months to stabilize the MCC PC port and another 6 to work on conflicts and bugs. You can not play it and wait until they patch it all or disable some stuff and play.
◦ Checked GPU driver it's already up to date (I have it done automatically anyway)
◦ Closed every possible background conflict
◦ Completely clean reinstall of GPU driver
◦ Not overclocked
◦ gtx 1080, i7-11700k, and 32gb ddr4 loads are all fine when game is running
◦ Tried running in admin, full screen optimizations disabled
◦ Checked my PC for updates
◦ Restarted my PC
◦ Verified steam HAlo Infinite files
◦ Turned off HD textures dlc pack
◦ Uninstalled and reinstalled Halo Infinite
◦ Disabled all overlays like Steam, Discord, Xbox Game Bar
◦ Ran cmd SFC, DISM
◦ Tried running game as admin straight from file directory
◦ Async compute is off, has been off
◦ My game graphical and similar settings are on lowest setting, has been that way
Cool beans my friend, happy hunting.
Does your game instant crash even after a fresh computer reboot and it being the first program launched?
The only new thing going on since the Tenrai micro patch to enable the game mode is a memory issue (although I believe it was an old issue and only made it to reddit recently). See if your Windows virtual memory paging file is set correctly. It should be 1.5xRAM, so yours should be at least 50GB. Some people don't have it set right or available space on their hard drives and it is leading to a memory allocation error.
EDIT: Yep no luck. I maxed out my virtual memory manually, free'd up a ton of space on the drive, and even tried changing task manager priority of the Halo .exe to see if that does anything but still crashing as usual T_T
