Finished Halo Laso Headmaster Achievement! (Tips + LASO guide)

So after traditionally finishing my first Halo Infinite campaign on legendary, I went for all the skulls and trying to get every achievement. I always use controller on Halo, even if I'm on PC. Just recently got the Headmaster Achievement playing LASO, which took me 8 hours to complete. So after some suffering, I thought I'd share some tips on how to get through the campaign LASO style.

First preparation: Get every skull which is a given, and if you want to make this easier, add some external crosshair sight of your own design. If you feel like dying on the inside like I did, then go full BLIND and just guess your shots. Lastly, you are going to need a lot of patience. If you ever decide to exit the game, make sure you start the game from loads, not from continue as it will turn off the skulls.

Alright, to get started with common abilities, equip your shock grenades every mission intro, they are your best friend to take down shields a tad and stunning enemies. Make sure to utilize your grapple hook like Spiderman because you'll need to evade those annoying grenades, rockets, or sniper aiming for your head (Bandanna skull will remove cool-downs on all equipment). Always and I mean save a couple enemies you see to melee to death with your sword to recharge shield and it'll allow you to get a checkpoint with full shield; If you don't, then you'll have to restart to your last checkpoint with full shields.

Prioritize these targets in order that you see them, Sentinels>Grunts>Snipers>Skimmers>Brutes+Elites (Hunters are scenario specific and Jackals are saved for last to melee for shield charge). You'll understand why Sentinels are top priority if you see them, and grunts are a menace with spamming fast grenades and with the disruptor burning shields even if you recharge through melee.

Now on to the missions. Make sure to grab the needler as it's your best friend for the first 3 levels and also it can cause a stagger animation upon first burst so you can melee as it won't kill on first burst most of the time, but combined with shock grenades, it will kill so be advised. Once you encounter the rocket brute early on, make sure to pick it up to help you clear enemies. When on the second mission to obtain the Weapon, kill the first elite and take his sword, you will use that to recharge your shields while grappling. Game becomes easier from there. And on the third mission to clear the outpost, make sure to activate the artillery to clear the platform. If you don't know what I mean, you may want to look up how to activate the 3 switches close by. Also those artillery cannons you see on top of the ship by the landing platform, get up there and replace your Spunkr with the Scorpion Gun on the tip of the cannon.

Now once you reach this point, you can clear the first FOB if you like, but I'd go for as many armour cores as you can to upgrade your shield first before anything else. Then you must absolutely go for the high priority Elite target to obtain the Duelist Energy Sword. You'll get more movement speed equipping it to evade shots and grenades along with longer lunge range. Now you have all the weapons you need, go at it for the main missions as you can shock grenade (only with sword equipped, scorpion gun doesn't let you throw nades) first to stun the bosses, then shoot with scorpion gun and repeat. If they take your health down, go for a slice after a shock grenade stun as your only opportunity.

If you follow all these tips, then you'll be able to beat the LASO campaign and get your Headmaster Achievement. If there are any questions, I'll try to respond when I'm able to. Good Luck Spartans!!!

Anyone having trouble with the game not saving after beating Chak-lok? It is making this LASO run really annoying when I am reset to the middle of the Tower mission when I die after beating him.

I stated before that the checkpoint doesn't occur until your shield is full first, especially after a boss fight. So try your luck with last hitting him with sword after shock grenade to ensure you get a checkpoint after the fight.

I just finished campain on LASO, and don't get achievment, why? I played on instructions (stat from load, and etc)

Did you start from a New Game with all 12 skulls active?
