Is the game optimization that bad?
I have a 3060 laptop with an 11th gen i7. I run the multiplayer fine on high so I was assuming I wouldn’t have any issues with the campaign but I see posts about some having issues, are these isolated or is anyone else gaming on a similar setup without issues?

not. Not having any performance issues. 2070S + i7 10700K @5.1GHz. I only have some odd graphic bugs and glitches from time to time.

Campaign runs way worse than MP. Its open world. You should be fine tho with your laptop specs if its not fully bloated with stuff.

not even the guys as digital foundry who reviewed the performance will play the pc campaign until its fixed lol

4k ultra on a 3080 it'll drop out in the open world to the 40's occasionally but if i set the min and max frames to 60 it dynamically changes the resolution slightly without any loss in visual fidelity, at least that i can tell

Its bad, you (and I) have the horsepower to brute force it.
I get flat 60 fps (old 2k ultrawide is limited to 60hz refresh), but the lod culling and many features, options i the settings dont even work.....

Its an embarrassingly bad port. Sure high spec people can manage (still massive frame time and animation issues, heck the vertex precison stops working in places in the open world) but 343 needs to fix this port.

I have an Acer Predator Helios 300 (2021) with a RTX 3060 (6 GB) + an Intel Core i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60Ghz (5.00Ghz Turbo Boost enabled), 16GB of RAM (dual channel) and a NVMe M.2 SSD (lastest NVIDIA driver installed).

I already uninstalled the High Resolution Textures for both MP and the Campaign but performance has been a pain in my ass. Most of these performance issues could be fixed by adding DLSS and Exclusive Fullscreen to the game, but I assume that's not going to happen anytime soon. I do get 100+ fps on High in some areas (with a lot of fps drop while playing the open-world area I must add), but the game still feels like is running on a Wii.

Cutscenes, reloading and climbing animations are capped at 30 fps which makes the game feel like an unfinished product.

P.S. My laptop is already optimized and I already tested DF optimization recommendations.

So... yeah. It's VERY unoptimized for me. That could vary from one hardware to another.

I would like to add that the game doesn't really look that great to justify that performance.

Yes it is that bad especially on AMD side. A 1050ti can outperform an rx570 which doesn't make sense

No campaign issues here, just make sure gpu drivers are up to date

I get 144fps in multiplayer.

50fps in the open-world single player. The first 2 linear intro levels were running at 120fps+, but as soon as the world opened up...oof. My i7 6700K isn't good enough for this it seems.

A lot of people are having issues with fps drops once you go outside. Some have reported updating drivers has fixed it.

My rig is not top tier, but it ain't no pushover. The opening levels run butter smooth on high/ultra, but the frames have a noticeable dip when I entered the open world. It isn't tragic but enough to be irritating. I've seen people with better rigs struggle to run the game on a steady fps. The game isn't even so visually complex to be this resource hungry, there is something running in the background that seems to cause this.
