Its bad, you (and I) have the horsepower to brute force it.
I get flat 60 fps (old 2k ultrawide is limited to 60hz refresh), but the lod culling and many features, options i the settings dont even work.....
Its an embarrassingly bad port. Sure high spec people can manage (still massive frame time and animation issues, heck the vertex precison stops working in places in the open world) but 343 needs to fix this port.
I already uninstalled the High Resolution Textures for both MP and the Campaign but performance has been a pain in my ass. Most of these performance issues could be fixed by adding DLSS and Exclusive Fullscreen to the game, but I assume that's not going to happen anytime soon. I do get 100+ fps on High in some areas (with a lot of fps drop while playing the open-world area I must add), but the game still feels like is running on a Wii.
Cutscenes, reloading and climbing animations are capped at 30 fps which makes the game feel like an unfinished product.
P.S. My laptop is already optimized and I already tested DF optimization recommendations.
So... yeah. It's VERY unoptimized for me. That could vary from one hardware to another.
I would like to add that the game doesn't really look that great to justify that performance.
50fps in the open-world single player. The first 2 linear intro levels were running at 120fps+, but as soon as the world opened up...oof. My i7 6700K isn't good enough for this it seems.
