Game not launching thread.
Please be constructive give detailed accounts of your experience with specs and software versions, so we can try helping each other out.

My experience is as follows, Multiplayer or Campaign it just won't work. I've tried both the steam version and the xbox app version and they have the same problem. You launch the game there's a process using up about 20mb of ram under the background processes in the task manager called Halo Infinite and that's how it stays, nothing else ever happens.

I've tried restarting, reinstalling, compatibility modes, start as admin, verify integrity of files, disabling all non critical apps and overlays, windows game mode on/off, xbox game bar on/off, uninstalled MSI afterrburner with RTSS and nothing works. I have about 50 games installed, none of them have problems running.

My specs
i7 6700k (not OC)
32GB DDR4 @3200 dual channel
RTX 3070 (not OC)
3x SSD drives

Nvidia driver version: 497.09
Windows 10 Fully updated V21H2

Same here. Worked just fine before the campaign release, now it does not even launch.

Same. Worked 100% for the past 2 weeks. Now wont launch at all. Works perfectly through the xbox app on the same PC but not through Steam

No errors show up for me in event viewer so its hard to trouble shoot it.

Same issue for me. I contacted support and they said they couldn't do anything

I just got it to work, what AV do you guys use? I started getting a bunch of BSOD when trying to get it to work, I am using Sophos Home Premium and after uninstalling it I am able to launch Halo and I didn't get any BSOD.

Just something to check, when i first had this problem i had disabled all of the protections but i guess there is still something running that doesn't get disabled.

Thanks for that I hope it helps someone. I'm using Malwarebytes and closing the program and all its processes in the task manager did nothing for me unfortunately.

One thing to try if you are using the Game Pass version (steam version worked for me right away) is to add and exclusion to C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\ for what ever reason Microsoft creates a symbolic link to the Halo Infinite folder if you have installed it else where. Once I added an exclusion it started to work.
Having the same issue, tried everything, even bought the campaign, still broken

I'm experiencing the same issue. As soon as I open the game, it just closes, no error message given. I've tried reinstalling, validating the game files, clearing the download cache. I've tried other tips available online, but they were all made before the campaign released so they're probably outdated.

I am in the same boat. Game worked fine before campaign and the day the campaign released. Next morning, crashes on startup every time. Like you all, I've done all the usual stuff and submitted a support ticket. No luck yet...

This happened to me, The issue was fixed by adding haloinfinite.exe as an exception on my antivirus software. Give this a try.(This fix came from the halo support website).
