grenades in this game are overpowered
Let's get this straight, everyone knows the grenades are overpowered, but there is no way to nerf it?

No. You can easily nerf the grenades. First of all why the heck are we spawning with TWO grenades every time we die? So I try to play the objective but 8 grenades come flying my way.

The grenades should be nerfed for sure and why are they magnets? Am I the only one who noticed that grenades literally never explode unless it's right under my feet? It's a joke.

So how should we nerf it? It's really simple. Just make it so the grenades can't be chucked across the entire map and remove the "hail mary" medal completely, it's stupid. Secondly, make it so everyone only gets 1 grenade per life. Lastly, stick grenades should just get removed because the amount of times some guy throws a random sticky grenade right before i headshot him and it gets lucky enough to stick to me is just ridiculous.

Now, I'm not saying grenades should be removed entirely but they are damn over powered and they are magnetic compared to the previous halos.

They play a huge role in combat and we need access to them, but they do get ridiculous when it just becomes everyone chucking grenades blindly at the objective and you are in ranked where you have 8 people with 4 grenades each too afraid to peak their heads from cover until they see they have hit splats and probably dropped someone's shields. Also grenades are unreliable, which is part of the issue. Sometimes they will one shot someone from 5 feet away, sometimes they are literally standing on the grenade and it doesn't even pop their shields. There seems to be a weird inconsistency to them. I think that needs addressed first, then we can look at lowering grenade damage but increasing the AoE. They should be meant for killing someone whose shields are down, like every other kinetic weapon. Or used while reloading to buy time. They shouldn't be spammed at the start of a fight because they may or may not get a kill so you essentially get free lottery rolls before you even engage. Then you take damage from the enemy grenade so you just end up waiting for shields to recharge anyways. Grenades do enough damage to shields that they act as a good deterent against getting rushed, but I thought that's why we have so many new mobility and melee options, plus the radar changes.

Halo has always had great gunplay. We need more of that, is what I'm saying. I feel like I have died to more cross-map grenades exploding 10 feet away than I have to all snipers and vehicles combined. I survive being rammed by Ghosts more often than I survive grenades.

No, you were right, take out nades completely. Swap it for 1 throwing knife every other spawn, after your first spawn, direct hits only.

Grenades are not overpowered. If anything, they're too weak. And I can't help but find it humorous that Spartans can chuck the massive fusion coils further than they can throw little grenades.

They literally bounce and move faster than you can run, and they don't blow up until they are right onto you. I can get away sometimes, but it still will damage me and then I can't even win a gunfight anymore. Don't play on the objective? That's the point of the gamemode. Why would I not try to win the game by playing the objective, that's the whole point. Lol stupid comment.

I have been since Halo 1, this is the only time the grenades have been so unbearable.

You can see where they are coming from.
You know where the enemy spawns so look in that direction. Avoid them. Move around. Don't stand still and if one gets you run away to let your shield regen.
It's so easy it's quite embarassing that you are complaining about it.
All grenades have the same timer. This is not some grand grenade conspiracy against you you dingus.

If you try to take over a zone you are allowed to leave it for a couple of seconds to avoid grenades my guy. Jesus christ, the most casual of gamers.
