Inconsistent Melee Lunge

Anyone else finding that the melee lunge is just all over the place? I'll have red reticle and just slash at the air with a sword, or completely magnetize to someone with a rifle at times. Generally it feels like it misses at extremely close ranges when it should provide that little leap forward more often than not.

Yes, its the same reason you'll get shot around corners or why the grav hammer is inconsistent. Server lag is real bad right now

I just realized something. I have the enemy color set to yellow. My crosshair is turning a dark yellow instead of red when the sword lunge is ready.

That's really weird.

it's like dark souls backstab attempts, client side you can try a lunge, but connection puts you outside of range a lot of the time and its server authoritative so you just swing at the air awkwardly instead

Literally half of my deaths is due to melee not lunging when it should.
