Report a translation problem
There is a option to "raise" voice in game. I think, 7 is for default. Maybe increase it to 10.
If you are using controller, you can try to plug headset to controller.
Go into your computer's sound settings, and disable all output devices except for the one you're using.

It’s no fun unless you can talk to people. If they are mean I can just mute or ignore I don’t mind. I’ll never see these people in rl anyway. Just makes the game more interesting to me is all.

Yes mic is functional because my boyfriend could hear me and I see my mic moving on the screen but no sound from others lol
I think it's cause VC is defaulted to disabled for everyone?
