You obviously don't know how to use it right. The PC has the same TTK as the pistol, and you are supposed to swap to a instant headshot weapon after stripping shields.

That's the point of the Halo sandbox. Some weapons are designed for a certain role; requiring different things from you.

With that said, I certainly think the PR was a weapon designed for campaign and has difficulty performing in MP, just because how the advanced movement plays such a key role. We might see it get phased out or reworked for something different later on.

It can also not track outside of a minimum range that no map places enemies within.

Like, it might be good against people who dunno how tf to play and don't sprint jump slide grapple - but as soon as someone is mobile they'll just keep out of the tracking range and strafe, and just like that the pulse carbine is trash.

It's actually a great weapon you just have to have good aim for that weapon.
