That's every troglodyte's argument is. Whenever someone has criticism against the new MCC armor and Infinite, Halo 3 is the first to get brought up because of TWO armor pieces. Which still fit the aesthetic of the games.
Also it wasn't "older samurai armor" it was Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden, with a katana on his back, I'd say that's a little "out there"
Then let's not get into how they double down on armor effects in Reach.
You really think Ryu Hayabusa's armor from Ninja Gaiden and a flaming helmet fit the aesthetic more than two triangles deliberately designed to copy the same patterns from the existing Mark VII armors, fitting in flawlessly?
... You're arguing that cat ears are similar to a flaming helmet of death and a warriors armor and weapon meant to kill...
I agree that armor effects are a bit annoying though. But again, not the same changes made here.
And no, coming up with edgy names for literal particle effects of flames floating around your head doesn't make it fit more, it just makes you sound like you're trapped in 2007.
I don't even know why I bother even looking twice what a 15 y/o arguing in bad faith has to say.
Thing I like changed to fit artstyle = good
Thing I DON'T like changed to fit artstyle = Okay this is ruining the series it's not realistic anymore it's pandering to people who have no place in the community
Again, you're trying to say literal cat ears, are more in line with futuristic armor, then ridiculous armor effects and a sword. Cat ears. You're subjective analysis on how you think they're similar to anything, is irrelevant. They're cat ears.
Do tell me how it's in bad faith to see something with my own two eyes.
So, you argue first that Bungie did this, then you argue that it's fine for the art style to be broken for no reason and for people to force that change. Who's arguing in bad faith here?
And, just so you know, It's totally realistic for someone to put simple cat ears on a helmet in the real world, because it's a personal creative touch, with little cost and no impact, because they're human beings, not gritty realistic machines.
And yes, that's more in line than being a glowing target on fire.
