I have never seen a cheater
Hey, im not trying to say people are lying or that they dont exist or whatever. Im not trying to have an argument here. But i have never ever seen someone who i am sure of being a cheater. I am about plat 6. There was one guy i was like maybe, but he could have just been very good and that was like 100 hours of gametime ago. Is this being inflated by people? Whats going on here? I hear people saying its like every game. I cant see how this is statistically possible if in 500 games i have had maybe 1.

People assume they see cheaters because the game's desync is so bad they get shot when they are behind a wall. But this game does not lack cheaters. There are certainly aimbotters at a minimum, and I have heard very bad things about high level of play in ranked.

Perhaps it is because this game has had over all had a more negative experience than previous titles? No... couldn't be.

Some of it is desync or lag. Some of it is real. Just google what you are describing, can't really post it because it violates the forum rules, but there were people running around with 5000% shields and wall hacks (ESP). No clue if the updates did anything about it but the amount of reddit and twitter cheat callouts has declined. Could also be that there are less players that care.

No, I think most people know that getting shot behind a wall or while running away into a corner is due to server issues and not hackers.

High level play just has the most whiners. Lower play has no game sense.
It doesn't help that matchmaking ranking is still completely broken.

Yeah, tbh I haven't had many instances where someone was clearly hacking. It has happened, but it's very rare in my experience.

1. How would you know if you've seen a cheater? DO you look in theatre? You might have a really high threshold for how much of an ass kicking you're willing to put up with before you get suspicious.

2. 343 needed to implement anti-cheat because cheating in PC gaming is rampant, including in this game. They wouldn't be making such a point of doing something about it if it wasn't effecting the game. Let's be real, 343 would just tell us we're delusional or whining if that was the case because they're terrible at PR and a shower of tactless muppets.

3. You're likely enjoying the game without crashes, right? Does this mean because you personally don't experience crashes that no one has a crashing game? That's not really a reasoned conclusion to draw, and you're doing roughly the same thing here.

I actually have never run into one too

Know why you haven't? Well, technically you have, but it's because the vast majority of players (in non-Ranked at least) are the cloud bot army 343 has to use to populate servers and replace the 10 kids who drop each game. I mean there isn't even a MM penalty for dropping out of Ranked that I've seen. So, it appears to me sometimes AI takes over for someone who quits or they bring in the bots.

For the doubters, start paying attention in 4v4 non-gimmicky games to opponent skill and habits like if they use their items, when they toss the nades, do they always rush for melee, etc. I know it's a small sample size and luck and lag both exist, but it's inexplicable how amazing some opponents are (or teammates) then they kinda "AFK" after a respawn 30 seconds, then they suddenly got Downs Syndrome between rounds or turned on Dev Mode 420blaze hack.exe

Yep, I have noticed that where they cant hit anything for the first round and in the second round or later in the match they go super saiyan 3 or whatever.

1 - yeah maybe but my personal benchmark is "could i have done that on a one off?" and the answer is almost always yes. So many times i think "someone probably thought that was a hack but i just got really lucky.". Basically I have seen hacks in other games where there is no doubt whatsoever and that is not what i am seeing here. Ok maybe on occasion someone just spins round and shoots me in the head once in a game but I do that to others by chance every couple games. sometimes I jump prefire a corner where someone has pinged and i get some very lucky headshot and i think now that they probably are screaming "hacker". Ive never ever seen anyone suspicious even have a good KD

3- im not doing that, because i said explicitly i don't deny that they may exist. I am just confused at what exactly people are experiencing when they say every game is plagued with hackers. And its not like saying "because i dont crash nobody crashes" because its not on my end, the experience should be similar across the board and statistically it is unlikely that I am such a ridiculous outlier where people say that its an extremely common occurrence and me basically having never seen anything remotely conclusive.

Who knows maybe there are a lot of hackers. IDK, i am just sharing my experience. I just find it strange to hear people talk so much about it where i have never seen it.
zaibatsu Mar 19, 2022 @ 2:10pm
most people complaining about cheaters here are just making bold cheating accusations because they won't accept the fact that they are bad at the game, and that there are others who are better than them. to these people it's either the games fault or other's who must be cheating.

That doesn't make someone a cheater.

I have rounds I'll get pummeled, then I'll go on a run for a bit, then right back to worthless.
You haven't played against enough cheaters then. I have seen this behavior where they want to win legit at first but arent very good and since their ego is so big they just activate their hacks and know where you are and snap on to you. I have seen this in other games beside halo.
Sola Di Ryuvia Mar 19, 2022 @ 4:25pm
There are a few but its only wall hackers or aim botters at most. Most of the time if it looks like it, it is desych but if you go to theater and they are tracking perfectly and looking at your team through walls entire match and died maybe twice at most but got well over 30 kills yeah it was a wall boi.

Like I said in the post, luck and misfortune happen in any game like this, but what I am looking at are patterns and similarities between players far removed from one another. Also, I never said anything about cheating. In fact, if you read the first sentence I wrote, I was supporting OP's claim that he has not, in fact, ever played against a cheater. I don't know if I personally have, but I doubt it. What I have played against though are both named bots that have 343 in the name and AI-controlled players who have abandoned a game or live in a a hut in the Congo or something and can't stay online or ping below 5000. The AI is just trying to finish out a round when MM pools are low, which I understand, but what you end up with are wild swings in play quality, in between identical patterns (or lack thereof) in the behavior leading up to and following the undisclosed transition. Or, like I also said before, a player suddenly stops doing the behaviors they have done every single time outside of how good their aim is or how determined their movements are up until then, especially if they were kicking my ass doing it and suddenly quit kicking my ass and playing like a 4-year-old took over.

TL;DR - please just actually read stuff and things.
