I dont know if its the desync or what, but everytime i get blasted away with the pistol or br in 2-3 Seconds. How is that possible? There is no time to react. You look 2 seconds away and someone blasts you like instantly with the br by full shields...

Playing with 15-20ms this shouldnt happen.

You probably dont strafe much to make them miss so it feels like you are dying faster. You maybe also be in bad positions and are getting shot by more than one person.

yeah but how can you shot so fast with the br? to me it looks like they shoot full auto

Whenever i match pros it does feel like their gun shoots faster. IDK if its cus htye have those trigger stops on thier controllers. Who knows.

This game in general just feels off. Without saying it myself, another one of my friends who has also played Halo since CE said the exact same thing. It may just be the desync but personally, to me, I genuinely feel like I'm playing a DnD game when Shooting people, like my damage is being completely determined by the roll of a dice. Ill throw a grenade and a dude will be standing directly on it when it goes off, and he will take no damage, then other times he will be outside of the blast radius and he will still die. Ill empty an entire clip with no missed shots from the Assault rifle and sometimes their shield isn't fully gone yet, while other times half a clip will outright kill them. It feels horrendously inconsistent. Last night I even got jumpscared by a dude rounding a corner and shot him with a rocket launcher from melee range, directly hitting him. The blast killed me but only broke his shield. I really don't understand whats going on with this game, but it honestly feels like damage is completely RNG. I can only hope the desync is really just that terrible, because if this is a different problem, I don't have confidence they will ever find time to fix it.

oh so i am not the only one.... i also have the feeling some dices rolling in the background with the weapon damage. I stopped counting how many of my rockets didnt kill on direct impact... or how the damage of the hammer works. Feels random.

Don't even get me started on that god awful hammer. I have swung it and killed people who were about 12 feet away, well out of range, and iv swung it while physically touching a dude who backed himself into a wall running from me and not even taken his shield fully down. Like, this game just feels bad. One of my friends insists that its all caused by the desync, but a big part of me thinks that this is more than that, like the code is just so borked that weapon damages just aren't actually consistent and that sometimes, it doesn't load the damage in for every bullet shot or something. I dunno, I just know that iv never had an FPS game feel so inconsistent. I really feel like I could swing that hammer at the same guy, standing in the same place, and get about 19 different outcomes to their health and shields.

theyre probably hitting perfects, only takes 4 burst headshots to kill with the BR and the pistol shoots really fast. when you dont have shields you die easily

oh okay. I thought 4 for the shield and one for the head. I read that headshots with active shields are the same dmg as body. Only after the shields down headshot is (obviously) one hit.
I know for a fact you don't get proper feedback when you get damaged which leads to what looks like near instant deaths in 1v1s

ttk is much longer than ttd. Being killed is soooo much faster than killing an enemy and its reminds me of how battlefield 5 was.
