Every single time a company are at the point where they're showing footage of their game to people and people point out flaws there's always someone that says "it's way too early" "still lots of time to improve everything"
and not once has the final product ever really changed from the footage that they show.
ANd yet, you still still hear that same argument each and every time.
We have not seen enough footage, and that's the end of it. The gravity hammer is known for it's concussive force, and since we've already seen how vehicles react with a brute gun, there is not reason to imagine that the hammer will react different.
But we have seen actual footage of them not flying after being hit with the grav hammer. that's what OP is saying.
Another thing. Why would they take away the propulsive force of the GH when so many strats in Griffball actually hinge on said propulsion. They might nerf it (Wouldn't be a bad thing imo), but they won't be removing it. Especially when the weapons identity is literally in the name.
That ragdoll effect was perfect.
I don't understand why devs use scripted animations whenever ragdolling like that is clearly possible. There's too many games that use scripted animations when you shoot people but have perfect ragdolling for grenade blasts and melee. It makes no sense... unless they're just trying to tone down the violence for a T rating.
I really hope they have the physics sorted by the time the final game rolls around. I don't want to be reminded of Halo 4 at all while playing Halo Infinite I want it to feel like a brand new AAA experience.
Reusing scripted animations from Halo 4 would be a big misstep. I hope you're right.
Also, the canned death animations they're using arm seem to be recycled from Halo 4. Do you think that's a placeholder or, will there be more variation?
I wonder what the design decision is behind going back to canned animations whenever Halo 5 was fully ragdoll.
The death animations from.Halo.4 were so trash and obvious death animations.
There's ways to.blend them.and make.them feel like.less of an animation.
