Who asked for a grapple hook?

I'm not even that bothered by it but generally no one has ever wanted a grapple hook. They said they were going back to trying to be classic halo and instead they're alienating the experience even more.

Let em try something new something new and see what happens? As long as it works and plays well it could add a new and fun element to the game.

Yeah i can respect that as long as it turns out to be a good feature. I'm gonna buy Halo infinite anyways as long as the news about it doesn't turn really bad.

It'll be in multiplayer, as one of the "equipment items that can be picked up on the map."
it sounds like they're going to a more Halo 3 system for it rather than Reach/4 abilities.

everybody complains so much about how games are changing, I was about 18 years old when the original Halo came out and it was amazing! I played it when it came out on the Master Chief Collection not that long ago and it was not quite how I remembered. I played it for probably an hour and that just was not that exciting anymore and that's the way I feel about all the other games that came out since then on the Master Chief Collection. I know it's not a popular opinion but I don't know if people are just packing some Nostalgia mode but I feel like the past the past there's a reason that games have been changing and evolving. I personally do not like all the microtransactions but I do feel that things need spiced up quite a bit.

Yeah that's fine games do need to evolve to keep up with the current market the issue is they said with Halo infinite they would be trying to go back to the classic halo but they have instead added a feature no one has ever wanted in a Halo game. I'm fully for adding more features and stuff as long as they work well with in the game.

grapple hooks make everything better. I just hope its a singleplayer only thing tho. Hate to have to deal with that in multiplayer. Unless they made a separate gamemode for it, then that'll be fine

@FQQFY You claim no one ever wanted it but I've played Halo my whole life and am happy it got added, I played the ♥♥♥♥ out of Apex Legends and really liked Pathfinders grapple. This one feels like that but much heavier and less loose which is a pretty cool change.

Also they probably added it because the game is seemingly open world so prob to accommodate traversing all the wacky geography we are seeing.

Well I hope its optional, but seeing that its an open world. I fear it will be very important for traversing vertical terrain
