ps4 controller not recognized

How do i fix this? It only shows Xbox controller, i tried mapping to ps4 controller and no success.

What do you mean it only shows Xbox controller? The image in Player 1 Controls always looks like an Xbox controller; that is just the most common pc gamepad. If you setup your controller under Input Mapping, you should be good to go.

What I meant is when you scroll over, it shows an xbox controller, and everything has the xbox button configs.

The input mapping didnt stick at first. I downloaded ds4 program and made a few mapping input changes and raced some. Im about to log back in and see if those stuck.

The button prompts never change. The game recognizes whatever button you assign in Input Mapping.

Yeah i see that. But at first, it wouldn't recognize and hold the mapping for the ps4 controller. Only worked after downloading ds4.
