I would not classify it as a hard-core sim, but I've seen the term "sim-cade" thrown around. If you're looking for an iRacing style of simulation, then this honestly probably isn't the game you're looking for.
We were aiming to make a fun game that captures the visceral excitement of sprint car racing, and that can be made accessible for casual users, while also being able to provide a driving challenge for more experienced racers, and I like to think we succeeded at that, but we make no claims about being a hard-core simulation on the level of iRacing.
Simcade style is not for me, as I prefer iRacing/Assetto Corsa and the like, but I have friends whom this might be right up their alley that I'll be sure to recommend it to.
Will one be forthcoming? Little things like that can make a difference, this holds true with a cockpit view where you can see gauges and (partial?) wheel. I can go either way, cockpit or hood/roof cam view so having that option is a plus with me. (so is good multi-play like N2k3)
