Great game but too hard!
I just bought the game today and beat it in 3 hours! But I didn't get the good ending because getting the good ending is impossible! Why do I have to be a speed runner to enjoy the good ending?

It gets much easier on repeat playthroughs once you know where you're going and find more pathways. I didn't make it in time on my first playthrough either, but the next three after that I made it every time without even trying. I think the game really wants to you to experience it a few times and attempt different routes. Getting lost in this wilderness is part of the fun of the game and the ending is just a cherry on top. Try to relax and enjoy the journey.

This is not your average game that you "beat" like an opponent. And what do you mean "the good ending", did you get a bad one? This game is meant to be replayed, as the description on the store page clearly states. Would you rather get the same "good" ending each playthrough?

^ shawnji_us is right, this is a game you can play more than once to explore all outcomes. The journey is important too. Still, if you're having trouble, there's a lot of accessibility options I notice. Maybe check those out? They should lower at least some of the difficulty.

It's almost impossible to get to the end by Beltane on your first playthrough.
Confirming maps for shortcuts allows you to use them to go on other routes which are faster.

I got there with a day to spare on my first run, so it's definitely possible. But you do need some lucky guesses when choosing the routes (and stubborn pushing on through bad conditions).

I did say ‘almost’. 😁

Its narrative structure is a lot like Hades, the story unfolds over several playthroughs. And the paths you open are preserved over time, so no run is like the one before.

I juuust about made it on my first try but it was a push through the night on Beltane. My tip is that the day is longer than you think it is at first. Push farther.

As Mihau says. I saw one streamer resting at every rest spot, even when they had full health, then complain about getting late to the lighthouse. :-]

You don't have to be a speedrunner. Just try again, learn from your mistakes, do things differently and better than before.
