The second thing to know is - it’s almost impossible to get actually stuck! (There may still be bugs, but there’s been a LOT of playtesting at this point.)
So when you’re stuck it’s worth remembering a few pointers:
- you can run left, it’s not a left to right game
- you can hop down to the layer below
- while you can’t walk up sliding slopes, often there are rocks on the layer behind you can jump up
- if you let her stamina reset by resting before starting a climb, she can climb higher - and jumping mid climb can help too
So next time you get stuck, maybe post a picture of where you are and someone can help out?
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1999647530 "it's impossible to get stuck" - yeah, right! Here you can see me playing the game and within minutes of starting I get soft locked multiple times. Using the save system didn't help as it just further compounded the bugs on top of each other and it took about 5 restarts for the bugs to go away. This needs fixing and what the dev needs to do is believe people when they say they get stuck, not tell people it's impossible.
Thanks for the video, that's super helpful. We are definitely not saying the game is bug-free, as your video clearly shows (we've no idea how you got her locked like that, we've run over that rock a million times!) We do a people restarting because they can't find a path though, which obviously a bit different.
Note that the feedback report you send is REALLY helpful as it includes a bit of logging and history that helps understand the exact problem, which in this case looks like the pirate version you played put out of date junk into your save data, crippling the game until you restarted.
Fair enough. Please send a report via the feedback system so we can fix this up.
