英語わからなくてもクエストはすすめる
しかし、RPG要素は楽しいと感じない、MMO要素はPTがないのでフレンドとできない、サーバーは選択できるがレベルアップごとに毎回変えていかなければならいない。
レベル１はPVE
レベル２はPVP
レベル３からストーリー１
などのサーバー選択になる
戦闘は今の所、単純でそこはArkなどと同じ
クラフトする際の知識は新しい発見などでもらえる
私は石の拾いかたがわからず詰みました。。。
（鯖共有なので人多くて存在自体が激レアすぎて石と思っていたのは違ったらしい）
とりあえずアーリーアクセスだとしても、MMOなのにフレンドとできないのは致命的であり、これを最初無料で出そうとしていたらしいので、無料だったら妥当であった

しかし、根本的なことを作り直すしかないでしょう。

I've played since closed testing (I've played probably 30 hours total.), I will try to give a fair write up of the game in its current state.

This game doesn't neatly fit into the survival or mmo genre, its a weird mixture of genres where it tries to be a survival game, tries to be an mmo and tries to be an rpg but kinda fails at all of them.

So for example, Scum is a decent survival game, as you can do a lot of small stuff in game to increase your survivability, you have to manually build ur base, you can do x things to manage ur nutrition, being wet vs dry matters, your characters weight matters etc etc.

This game's ''survival'' aspect ends at you need to constantly consume food/water and those being at max effects your hp regen rate.

RPG:
I'm sure we all know what a good rpg looks like so i wont give an example of one, this game has ''perks'' which in a way give your character some level of uniqueness, that's it though, all the armor/weps/building stuff is exactly the same for everyone, with the exception of a few pieces of armor/weps that people got from pledging before early access.

MMO: So....most MMOs (wow, gw2, eso) include being able to party up, play together with friends, fashion wars, raids, bosses, dungeons etc etc.

This game has none of that.

Although it is planned to be added in at some point, currently on release there is no way you can group up with anyone, there is no party system or ally system, you just have to find each other in game.

I do not know why this hasn't worked, it's possible it hasnt been enabled in the last 24 hours or it just flat out doesnt work, trying to get into the same server as my friend hasn't been possible, the ''join on friend'' via steam or him inviting me, neither have resulted in us being in the same server.

As far as i've seen and understand (I may have missed something or be wrong) you cannot pick a server to join, you get auto added to one (during the testing phase you could pick a server) which means you have no clear way to play with friends (again if i am wrong about this, please correct me, i am not trying to trash talk the game).



I originally was going to try and make categories like ''the good stuff/the bad stuff'' etc etc, but it's gonna make me respawn irl cause i'd be repeating myself a lot, so i'm going to throw all the info at you guys and add commentary as I go.

The game looks nice, the world, animals and environment all are pretty alienesque and are graphically pretty appealing, there is some variance in the different biomes which is decent.

The in game systems are generally easy to understand.

The ''survival'' aspect isn't overly complicated, you just have to spam food/water, neither of which are difficult to get, you could potentially add in the environmental effects as part of the ''survival system'' i guess....you will have to deal with gas/heat/cold etc etc, you use items from the tech tree to do so.

The main point of the game is to grind through the tech tree unlocking items that enable you to then venture into the ''harder'' parts of the map, doing this enables you to finish the quests which mean you will survive the coming night time, which you have usually a week to do.

If you successfully do this, you complete a ''cycle'' which levels up your account which then enables you to access other game modes (pvp mode, some other story mode, the ability to build structures in game - its RIDICULOUS that this is locked behind 10+ hours of grind, especially considering the inventory system, which ill explain later), your account probably levels as you complete in game quests, so you may not need to finish a complete in game cycle to level it up somewhat. (levels are up to 400)



Perk system:
The gist of it is that as you do stuff in game (crafting, killing, discovering, consuming), you earn perks which give your character ''buffs' in terms of harvesting stuff/food/water caps, wep damage etc etc.

You can make some perks permanently stick, some will be lost on death, depending.
There are different tiers of perk.

I really think the perk system is the biggest missed opportunity for this game to shine because you have absolutely no way of knowing what actions will unlock what perks, so until someone data mines the game, its just random stabs in the dark.

You can spend perk points (practice points, no idea why they arent actually called perk points) to increase the tier of your ''saved perk'' slots so you can put rare perks into them.

Harvesting resources:

You can harvest different things using different tools from the same object.
So hitting x thing with a knife yields something different if you hit the same thing using a pick axe etc etc.

There are a wide variety of different resources to gather, sometimes this is interesting, other times its just obviously tedious and annoyingly done to make you spend more time running back and forth from one place to another to generate items to make more items to do simple stuff, for example the most basic healing item in the game:

You need three items to create it, one of them is a cactus like material, you already find this in the initial starting area, but no, apparently that one isn't good enough and now you need to go to the desert area to get the same item (except now its got the word desert in front of it) to be able to make bandages.


Tech tree:
You gain tech tree points by ''discovering'' things/animals/stuff, which just means you see a rock and your character is too dumb to know what a rock is, so you ''discover'' it and bam, now you recognize what a rock is and have some points that you can spend on unlocking technology.

So then you can unlock a campfire, a bottle, tools/weapons/med items etc etc.

The tech tree has two major problems:

1. Its basically the same thing after the bone tier, just called something else and more annoying to get.
2. The actual game play loop around it is just time consuming and not fun, ill explain in detail below.

Tech tiers:

Stone
Bone 1.5x harvest rate, higher durability (compared to stone)
Metal - higher harvest rate/higher dur (compared to bone)
etc etc

So to make a stone knife, you just need a small amount of basic materials.
To make a bone knife you need to kill certain mobs to get the materials and you need to pick some stuff up.
Making a metal knife requires a lot more work as you have to go to a particular area to get metal which has environmental damage and stronger mobs.

So yeah, you could go get the mats to make a metal knife, its interesting the first time, however, the amount of time needed to make a metal knife vs making a stone or bone knife (overall id say bone is the tier you should stop at unless you have easy access to higher stuff) just isn't worth it.

Yeah you will harvest slightly more but thats irrelevant, cause the mats you farm respawn in a minute or two anyway and you can definitely make like 10 stone or 5 bone knives quicker than you can make one metal one, so overall you're going to gain more mats in less time by not making the higher tier item.

As you go along the tech tree, there are some different items that give you damage buffs and do a few other things that arent exactly the same, but none of it really enhances game play or makes a massive difference in how you interact with the world to make it anything to really care about.

The game seems to try to get you to explore the environment and find more efficient ways to interact with it by developing tech around that, which I think was a great idea, but poorly executed, both because of the obvious cookie cutter gear repetition and because interacting with the environment feels super plastic and fake.

My final point on the tech tree is this:

You're doing exactly the same thing at hour 1 to progress through it that you're doing at hour 10 and hour 20, the only difference is you may take slightly less damage from mobs/do slightly more damage.

First off let me start by saying I have tested this game for almost 2 years. I purchased the game on steam EA, I even got the commanders pack because of how much I was looking forward to getting back in the game!

STOP RIGHT THERE!!

The game is nothing like it was in testing! So many of the game mechanics are now different and no one can explain why.

Building and workbenches in your base was something you could do on day 1 in testing.

Now you have to raise your account level to unlock things like PVP, respawn points called cocoons, and basic t1 buildings. To gain account experience you are doing the same 10 quests over and over again till you get enough account experience to get to the next level and the amount of needed experience gets more and more so you may be doing those same 10 quests 3 rounds, or find a quest you like and do it like 50 times or something. BORING!!

There is no team or group play like promised! The servers only hold 200 players but as you can see by the link at the top, there is barely over 50 players so you are alone mostly. The peak 24 hour player base as been dropping by 15 each day. Today it was 122 for 24 hour peak player count, at this rate, the servers will be dead in about a week or so.

The big patches are pushing out stuff that is already in the game, they held it back from EA to save it for some production of sorts to show they are making progress on the game. NOPE Patch notes from January of 2019 shows that the repair kits were already in game. I know, I used them, they were working just fine. So why claim they are just now coming out with repair kits ?!?! Odd, don't you think?

So according to multiple online gaming mags and websites a Massive Multiplayer game is several thousand players coming together on linked or common server structure to share in the same experience. This game does NOT do that. Each 7 day cycle when your character, base, equipment, inventory and boost WIPE! You start over on a different server, or could be the same one, but if you wanted to go over to your buddies server, there is some kind of steam trick that the DEV team was told about via inviting through the friend invite, OUTSIDE of the game, and using a steam trick to get to the same server as your friend.

So no grouping or team play, not even massive multiplayer with total strangers.

I had such high hopes for the game, it WAS a ton of fun during testing, but my guess is the money was running out, they needed to buy some time so they cut the game in half as far as mechanics and features and rushed it to EA at currently $29.99 for the base game. Going to cut expenses, push out patches of stuff that is already in the game but being held out, and showing a lot of propaganda hoping to suck in some more players to raise a bit more money before the vapor ware hits them right in the backside.

I don't think the company has much time left, according to early news they had roughly 60 employees working, according to LinkedIn they are currently at 18. The company is getting smaller, the player base is is leaving every day and has since EA launch just 13 days ago from this post.

The game right now is a playable alpha at best with probably around 10 hours of total content. I wouldn't give $9.99 let alone $29.99 for this game. I don't see this game coming back. It's terribly sad too, I have almost 2 years and $40 in the game. Time and money I won't get back.

In closing, don't buy this. Have a look at Stars End or some other scifi survival game. This is not one to get.

We as players need to stop buying EA games and force the game companies to go back to OPEN BETA for large scale testing instead of us paying for crap!!!

You have continued to let the players down over and over again with all your smoke and mirror crap, double talk, your promises of changes coming and the update is a change to water gathering or something as meaningless as that. The Enplex team and the community managers are a joke!! Worst EA game launch Steam history. This is worse than Bless, at least their dev team and CM didn't try to cover up their wrongful doings with a load of crap week after week!!!

Steam, just shut it down already!!! -10 out of 10 !!!

一見広大かのように見えるMAPですが、ロケーションやモンスターの種類、採取できる物を考慮すると小さいワールドであると言えます。オープンワールドなので冒険している気分をかなり味わえます。
何が不満かを単刀直入に言いますと、このゲームの人生１週目は全てが新鮮で楽しめますが、アカウントレベルを上げるために、７日を待たずしてギブアップを選択して強制的に次の人生（２周目）へ移行したとします。
１周目とやることが何もかも同じなのです。これはつまらないですね。
どこまでいっても３種類か５種類が生息しているようにしか思えないぐらいに同じようなデザインのモンスター、
周回をかさねても何もかも同じクエストのリピート。いつまでたっても初期エリアで同じモンスターから同じ肉をイライラしながら集めなければならない印象。
そしてレベルを上げていって家を建てられるようになったとして、何のために拠点を作るのでしょうか？
また同じようなモンスターを狩るために拠点をつくるのでしょうか？
めずらしい武器を敵が落とすわけでもなく、レアな宝箱とボスが眠るダンジョンがあるわけでもなく
モンスターを１００匹、１０００匹と倒しても、モンスターが経験値をくれてスキルレベルがアップするようなシステムでもなく・・・何を目標にサバイバルするのでしょうか？
おそらくこのゲームのメインコンテンツはPVPなのでしょう。しかしPVPエリアでサバイバルしたとして、何か旨味があるのでしょうか？
戦闘モーションや風景、敵のモーションなど美しく作られているだけに、ゲームとしてつまらないというのは非常に勿体ないです。
このゲームコンセプトでMMORPGである必要を感じません。

追記(2021/05/10)：サービス開始から１年経とうかという前に運営が夜逃げしてしまったためゲームに接続できません絶対に購入しないように！アナウンスもなく公式HP、公式Discordを削除し、無断でサービスを停止した開発元Enplex Gamesを許すな！

これはなに

まず良い点だけ言うておきますと初日に鯖落ちしてませんでした。完璧です。

チュートリアル終了後に「ヴォイドの遺体サンプルを１０個手に入れてこい」っていうクエストが出るんですが本拠地からかなり遠く、目的地にいざついてもクエストアイテムが全プレイヤーと共有なのでそこでサンプルが湧くのを待つしかありません。私はこのウンコクエストに１時間半費やしました。

次は肉を１００個ぐらいとってこいってことなのですがマジでモンスターがクソ固いです。私は一番高いエディションを買ったので明らかに序盤最強みたいな武器を手に入れてる（はず）なんですけどアホみたいに固いし耐える。しまいには出血するしさぁ大変。

石ツールが必要と言われましても岩自体がプレイヤーと共有なので周辺はすべて狩りつくされてダメ。

フレンドと遊べないのもダメ。サーバーはどこにつながってるかもよくわからない。

Discordの画面共有を見ていた女の子から「これはカエルをずっと倒すゲームなの？」と聞かれて私は我に返り涙を流していました。

このゲームがその名の通り”Population Zero”になるんでしょうねこれ

公式から返信（英語）が来ておりましたがよくスマホゲーのレビュー欄で見かけるようなテンプレ構文です。なんか新しいレビューで「初回パッチ後から３日間鯖につながらない」とうとんでもないものを見たのでやっぱり買わないほうがいいですね。

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME IT'S A SCAM! THERE HASN'T BEEN ANY UPDATES SINCE JULY OF 2020. THE SERVERS ARE OFFLINE AND THEY SHUTDOWN THE ENPLEX GAMES WEBSITE. I AM SURPRISED STEAM IS ALLOWING THEM TO CONTINUE TO SELL A GAME THAT ABSOLUTELY DOESN'T WORK.

Edit & PSA: The servers have been shut down, the company is blacklisted in Russia and officially defunct. Do not purchase this game.



I'll edit my review as the game changes in Early Access.

Lets start with the good:

- The game looks great, you can tell the designers put a fair bit of love into the world.

- It runs fairly smoothly, with only a few minor hiccups here and there on High.

- The combat is challenging but fun.

- There is a PvE mode on launch, allowing players to learn the game and its mechanics without PKers griefing them.

- 168 hours gives a bit of breathing room to explore the world and take in some of the sights.

- The tech tree is unlocked with points found through exploration instead of leveling up.

- The armors looks fairly interesting.

Now the mixed:

- The story mode is locked behind account lvl 5.

- The Void is considered a failure mechanic, after changing into it your only goal is to grief other players.

- Building, a staple of the genre, is locked behind account level which is only raised by completing a session.

- The day/night cycle seems to have been removed.

The bad:

For some of us founders, this current release is a bit of a bait and switch. All info was and still is publicly available.

The original game had a faction system with Xenobiotes, the native faction, the Technocrats, the humans, and the Void, the powerful neutral mutant.

The Xenobiotes lived in harmony with the planet, while the Technocrats fought to conquer it. Choosing a faction also affected what technology you could learn, and changed your base appearance.

Within the faction system, players were divided into colonies and could form guilds to work together.

Full character creation was also an intended feature, yet to be added.
