I'll suggest a german shelter named "Look Tierschutzverein", because they do great work for stray cats and dogs in Greece and I adopted my cats from one of their shelters in Athens.
The employees work day and night to save every little furry friend and they finance themselves through donations, so they are all doing it without a profit.
And many of their shelters need to be rebuild, because of the devastating bush fires that destroyed many parts of Greece this year.

Howl of a Dog on YT helps mostly dogs but also other animals, they are based out of Romania but their animals can be adopted internationally and they also sometimes help to do free spay/neuter of stray and owned dogs in their area to reduce the high number of homeless pups on the streets. They rescue a lot of animals that have been abandoned or abused and nurture them back to health in foster homes before placing them for adoption, including medical care in many cases I've seen.

They do a lot of great work and definitely deserve the support!

Charleston Animal Society is working to become a no-k*ll shelter! They are constantly overrun with incoming animals and to help with this, they have free spaying and neutering events, free adoption events, classes, training, fighting animal cruelty, local fire department calendars with shelter dogs and more. They were the ones who took care of Caitlyn, the pittie lab mix who was horribly abused.
