Can't get pass the tutorial, "Hand over the animal to the new family 0/2" Bug?

So after my first pet leaves i get a "Hand over the animal to the new family 0/2", I go to the PC and there is no pet to take in on the "Take in" tab. Seen a couple of youtube videos to verify this is what I need to do. Can't progress any further. Have uninstalled the game and installed it back in, started new game and whatnot. The issue still there.

Updated: "Hand in" begins with the process of "take in.". It would be clearer if it said "rescue 2 more dogs and find them homes 0/2"

ORIGINAL: Same issue here. Trying the save/reload. Tried exiting, reloading, didn't work.

Attempted to report in-game, report couldn't be submitted.
