Unnecessary buildings
I'm wondering who else doesn't use the office or the photo buildings. The sole purpose of the office is to house the computer, which you can add to another building (and some upgraded buildings come with one, like the vet). It's also unnecessary because we don't have anyone coming into the shelter, everything is done online, and we are the sole employee, so why do we need an entire office? Why are we required to keep upgrading it as well for the missions when we don't need it to do anything?

Personally, I've started just buying the unfurnished office and photo building and shove them in a corner to complete the missions. I have my computer in my vet office and I just use the advanced camera instead of bothering with the photo building since the potential adopters don't care about the photo quality. It may be fun to mess with just for personal enjoyment, but that's it.

It would be fantastic to be able to use some of the drawers and cabinets as actual storage rather than decoration. Vets don't just set all their instruments and medication out on the counter. They store them in drawers and cabinets.

Now that I think about it, there are a lot of things that are just decoration that we and the animals should be able to use:
  • Beds
  • Large Blue Water Tanks
  • Cabinets/drawers
  • Lamps/streetlights (There's no day/night cycle)
  • Dog houses and Cat houses

I'm sure there are more as well.

I dont bother with the Photo room. This is a gimmick just to entice kids to purchase the game to papp up the animals :steamfacepalm:. Has for the other things youve mentioned, they're there for cosmetic (unusable) additional deco.

In the office Ive toned it down to one usable room upon entering by ridding the other rooms of cosmetics. I agree we should use more things in the list youve mentioned.

In fact, our own water use is my suggestion instead of repurchasing water canisters:

This is the follow up threads discussion: Please comment.

In saying all this, I believe this game will always be what it is & will not become anything different. Nah, whats really needed is a new group of Devs to copy the game & make it more serious with realism.

I started off moving the computer in the office to the first room since it was extremely annoying having to walk in a lobby area and then a hallway to get to the computer room. Especially when there is no need for a lobby with no other people besides you. When I got the lvl 2 vet office with the computer, I was like, there's no purpose for this office building now..................

Several people have suggested being able to refill the water canisters in the main suggestion forum over the past few months.

I kind of feel like the devs are going for more of quantity rather than quality on games right now.

If you go to Game Incubator's Steam Page, they currently have upcoming releases:

The Shadow Government Simulator (Oct 17, 2022)
Android Simulator
Animal Trainer
Zombie Hell: Infected City
Bunker Builder Simulator
Disco Simulator
Garage Flipper
I Am Your Lawyer
Moses: From Egypt to the Promised Land
Rescue Operations Simulator
Police Interceptors
Wheeled Warriors: Ultimate Destruction

On their website they also show:
Police Shootout
Monuments Flipper
Car Detailing Simulator
Ship Graveyard Simulator

On their Discord they announced the demo for Pets Hotel, which I downloaded and tried and so far the dog and cat models are a TON better than the Animal Shelter ones and you can actually WALK DOGS ON LEASHES. They also USE BEDS and FURNITURE. Their owners actually come and drop off and pick up their pets as well.

They have several other games I didn't list on their discord server as well.

I also discovered that they are working with another group/company on a mobile game called Animal Shelter Simulator. It has the same general layout/graphics of this steam version, but is a lot different game play wise. It is also much harder to adopt animals out in that one since you only have three random people looking for a specific species of animal (cat, dog, rabbit, and they just updated to add exotic animals too) and after you adopt an animal to them, there's a two hour cool down until someone else comes looking for a pet. Unless of course, you want to pay the premium currency to skip the wait. Lots of micro transactions..........

Hi! It is true that we develop a lot of projects, while I assure you that each project has its own dedicated group of programmers :) Of course, the people taking care of the projects are assigned to specific game titles. We develop each of our games based on your suggestions and requests, but it is important to remember that not every game has the possibility to introduce specific mechanics and solutions at a given stage of development. We hope that the development of our game Animal Shelter will be exciting for you and will satisfy you :)

I just use bathroom to take a photo. It's easy to take a photo anywhere with adults but kittens and puppies never stop for one second
