How to use the kitty litter?
The litter boxes say "Clean," but then the cats just poop/pee on the floor of the cage. I'm wondering if this means I need to pour the litter into it? Or is this just the cats being sassy?

It doesn't have the circle indicator like the food and water for some reason and it also doesn't automatically change to say full, but it should still fill up the box with the clean litter. So basically, take the litter bag, pour into the box for a few seconds, stop pouring and look away from the box and then back again. If it is full, it will say "Full" but if it doesn't keep adding more litter and look away and back again until it does. Does that make sense?

I was once confused by that!! In this case 'clean' just means unused. Not meaning to actually clean.

Now that litter boxes have lids, how do we clean them? also, how can I turn it to fit into a cage?

You still clean them the same way. Get a poop bag, go to the litter box and if there's anything to scoop, there will be a prompt. Although, I do wish that there was an easier way of telling when it was dirty. Maybe having the lids on be optional? Cats actually prefer lidless anyway.

the litterbox confuses me. i have sand in it but the cats pee and poop elsewhere. how do you use it?

The cats need to be in the kennel that the litterbox is in. It needs to be clean (when you hover over it it will say clean if it is clean). Make sure the opening is where the cats can get to and its not facing a wall or something. If they are in the yard, they will always just go wherever.

I can only fill one litter box with litter and it breaks any others I have...

I dont believe anyone is answering the question. OP hasn't put litter in the box yet. This is what I am having trouble with as well.

Correct, I haven't seen an answer yet either... Dunno why they marked it solved. That's off putting...

For the litter, you should pick up a bag, make sure its not empty, then hold the left mouse button over the litter box until its full. like how you fill food and water bowls. Or are you saying that it won't let you do that or you have but the cats still won't use the box even though its full of clean litter (they can only "go" twice before it has to be cleaned so they can use it again)and the opening is in a place they can reach?

i am having this issue but its only because i am unable to even fill the litter box. I hold the litter and try and fill it like food and water but it does nothing not even pour, it is full because i just bought it and it pours everywhere else but the actually box for the litter. is there a way to fix this?
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

@Lycramosa has the correct answer. THANK YOU!!! I have no idea why the developer just said "solved" even though it wasn't. I found I can remove that and have done so to mark the ACTUAL answer. You really do just pour it onto it until it does the "full" animation. It does NOT show the wheel filling just the full wheel. If you then look at it, it'll say full and have the fill meter like everything else.
