Feel like ive been robbed
great game but the fact you have to unlock everything leaves a lot to be desired. I played the first set of missions. Did 6 of 7 easily. The sixth ive failed - oh 15-20x. Can’t figure out answer. So now i have to stay on one mission forever. Can’t play any other parts of game. I’ve read why devs did it - but it doesnt make sense. FREE US POORER PLAYERS. Let us get our money worth - its a great game ruined by one mechanic.

Feeling robbed is a bit dramatic. If you are failing a mission that many times, it means you are literally doing the wrong thing over and over hoping for a different outcome. At the VERY least look at your troopers and make sure you are taking guys with the highest accuracy and assault scores and make them do most of the shooting.

Check the guide sections if you want instructions on cheating-in stars so you can unlock equipment if you *really* need to. I don't think adding a progression system has ruined anything.

Which mission is giving you trouble? "Killing Time"?
One thing to keep in mind with that mission is that while most explosives have a risk of killing hostages, flashbangs are still on the menu, and given you aren't using any other types of grenade, that means you can have them in both your pockets, for four total. That's nearly one per room, per operator. You need to move fast, but you can spam these things liberally. Make sure none of your operators are standing where they'll see you through the open door before the flashbang goes off, and that you have someone watching any other routes to get to you at all times.

The problem is getting into that one room. You have to go through the whole building. And sniper always fires
I’ve tried different squads - different methods. As soon as door opens. Guy says theyre here and shoots hostage rescue- cant get near him

Then put a slap charge on the door with a go code and toss a flashbang in there using a different go code. As the flashbang is flying through the air and about to hit the door that it's supposed to fly through, blow the slap charge and go to work.

You should be allowed a way to play the full game after a certain number of attempts. After all you bought the full game. Wouldn’t even mind if there were alternate paths forward. (Maybe I’m not that good but I’m sure there are others. (Maybe at a higher level) so what do you do. Forget the game. Tried every stealth path / method i could think of. It is a game and after a while it becomes a dread. Not fun

Tried it. As soon as flashbang goes off the hostage is killed. You cant get to his room - you have to circle entire building
Bruh... dude fails at basic missions... and he ain't even fough SSI or other actualy challenging stuff...
One thing I just checked to make sure works - use a _wall charge_ to blast your way into the videotape room from the outside the building, when you're first entering. The hostage is on the far left end of the room, so a charge on the right side won't hurt them, letting you bust in and kill the executioner with plenty of time to spare.

This goes against the entire premise of games with missions. You complete missions to unlock missions, some missions are more challenging than others. You struggling, wrapping your head around beating a mission, IS THE GAME you paid for, you paid to do that, it's called thinking, planning, strategy. If you're failing a mission fifteen times over, you're probably going about it the wrong way. Watch how someone else does it if you can't figure it out.

Also, you have full unrestricted access to hundreds if not thousands of mod maps that people have made, you didn't pay for any of those. Relax.

The first set of missions are about teaching you the game. If you can't deal with the game's mechanics on those levels, then you're most likely not going to be able to deal with the more difficult missions.

I assume you're talking about the Jihadi live show mission. Key here is to make use of slap charges, high mobility, and move quickly. This mission, imo, shows the player how to use violence of action and speed to clear the map, instead of relying on slow methodical movements. You can do it, just keep trying different tactics.

Have you tried opening a hole directly into the hostage's room?

I'm new to the game, and I struggled a little on this mission. Didn't know slap charges was an option, but I was able to swarm the room and move fast enough to get the hostage. Slap charges would probably have made it easier.

A wall breach can also be used in this mission. Breach directly to the southern room and take out the executioner.

Hi, there are definitely several ways to express your opinion / disappointment without this drama...

Also, campaigns and TOD are harder than first map packs. If you can't face 8/12 terrorists, not so good chances against 30+ terrorists until you improve your skills...

Like going to the marathon as someone who can't run 400 meters...
