Pistols doctrin?

Is it only pistols? Tooltip in german says it is close range which could be true for all weapons when usd in close quarters. Also, does a mp5 count as a pistol?

Hi, handgun doctrine perks are only for pistols.

MP5 is a sub machine gun. Not a pistol.

technically there are no smg,
mp5 should recieve rifle doctrine.
