still persisting after patch 1.02?
- decreased volume and chance to play for some annoying ambient sounds
- fixed owl sound being played at 7000% volume in RMG
I'm afraid so, yes. Yesterday was my first day playing so I've not played before the 1.02 patch. It's not loud, it's just very repetitive, it's the Northern Belt campaign maps.
ambiance_market_1.ogg.
I'm about to snip out his voice and condense that sound file.
They are too loud; They are too short; They seem unnormalized \ unleveled; There are too few of them; They all have that one sound that's louder than every other; they loop too fast.
Pleaase fix (as in: re-do them entirely) them.
I think the chicken one has been solved. Thanks for the prompt response.
I've got to say, I would definitely vote for "ambience" volume control and then turn them off that way. On another level there was a constant buzzing from flies that due to the way it was recorded was irritating my cats, they were investigating my PC speakers trying to find the source, lol.
Great game though so it's only a minor annoyance.
completely agree, that electrical buzzing sounding one also drives me insane
You're very welcome.
Be sure that Devs read all suggestions.
As a cat lover person, I can understand your cats. They are so sensible (quite all other animals too). Sorry for that.
If yes please tell him/her Takeshi is a fan of you.
P.S.
I just sent telepathy message and received "Got-nya!".
If you can find or create a silent OGG and WAV file at least 10 seconds long:
- Create or download a silent OGG file and a silent WAV file.
- Browse to DoorKickers2\data\sounds\sfx\ambiental
- Create a folder named backups, in the ambiental folder.
- Cut n paste the sound files you don't want played into that backups folder.
- Create copies of the silent file (check if ogg or wav), one for each file you moved.
- Rename the copies to match the names of the sound files you moved.
- Drop them into the ambiental folder.
- Done.
- If the game gets updated you might need to do this again.
Not sure if they HAVE to be 10 seconds long, but the ones I use are.
