Sound Error?
002:845 - [Error] Failed to initialize sound device. Sound will not be available.

That's the error that comes up after updating. The game still boots up and plays. Just no sound. Not sure if it's my settings for the PC or the game. I've reinstalled it and verified integrity a few times and such.

Hi,

please post the entire log.txt file located in
C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\KillHouseGames\DoorKickers2\
using pastebin.com

Are you using a wireless headset?

Yes I'm using a wireless headset. Have been for a while. I've had this fault before, but never really figured out how it got fixed or whatever.

I've also deleted all mods I had.

there is a section in there where it's mentioning a bunch of errors. I think it's talking about a mod that I don't have anymore. But like I said. I reinstalled it

Reinstalling do not delete the files located in C:\Users\*****\AppData\Local/KillHouseGames/DoorKickers2/mods/White Phosphor NVG/mod.xml So, you need to clean C:\Users\*****\AppData\Local/KillHouseGames/DoorKickers2/mods/ folder

Anyway, the sound issue is not related to that mod.

Ok I'll clear the C drive folder out. And I've had that many for a while and never had any issues unless updates.

I actually fixed it shortly after posting this by going into my sound settings right after launching and getting the error. Found the game in the sound list and checked the default input and output. Once I changed them to the proper in/out and restarted the game, the audio was fixed!
