exactly with which sizes and typed of missions it happens? Maybe small maps?
Yeah that's what I mean. It's still fun, but sometimes I just skip the map since I know I've played it before.
Please, can you post seeds or screenshots of similar maps? Thanks.
I think what he's trying to say is that the RMG uses a set amount of map layouts and randomly generates the rest, like rooms, furniture and enemy positions. They're not the same maps but the layout is the same.
Then it should be a low priority for the Devs.
OP is speaking about "same maps"... A more detailed feedback would be useful instead of guessing...
About the generator, as far as I know, it has a pool of rooms and partial layouts from which maps are assembled.
I will try to find some that are similar then

These are for 4-7, 2nd most amount of enemies, eliminate all hostiles missions. It the big compound, usually 4-3 individuals buildings, courtyard out front, alley in the back. Sometimes you get a boat, in these two I didn't see one.
But I mean the question should be will there be more template maps added in the future. Obviously the maps can't be completely random, otherwise you'd end up with some weird stuff lol.
Thanks for the details. Devs' will look into this.
FYI apartment maps are completely random, meaning the rooms will always be in a different configuration. You may still get a sense of repetitiveness because they're currently decorated mostly the same, but the way they connect is different.
Larger maps are made on semi-fixed templates, with mostly the same exterior layout but randomly generated buildings inside them. Indeed they can feel similar, even though many things change (deploy points in different areas, entry points change or are blocked compared to other layouts, whole parts of the template will move around etc).
So even though most things change even on a template map, there's indeed a user perception of "same map".
Smae wiht writning wrods in difrenent wyas but you cna sitll read it :)
Bottom line is that everything has improved a lot since we last updated the game and it's still a work-in-progress. Will get much better, you'll see.
If you want furniture in the middle of open fields, cars inside of walls, and glitched soldiers, then I guess you could opt for truly random.
No matter what is done or improved upon, all of these will be based on logical rules that are designed to make the game actually work and play.
As we can see, more work has been done to give them wider breadth and greater complexity, but it will always have a limit.
Pretty much figured about the large / small maps-- which is why the smaller ones, I think, are more fun! The bigger ones are also pretty fun because they're so large that you still have to consider many different angles depending on the location of a single window, for example.
Either way, thanks for the reply!
