Just wondering how SAS will be like

I remember that devs have confirmed SAS in the future.Well,I don't know much about military stuff, the things I know about SAS are MP5 and the mask. Anyone who knows more about SAS in recent days? What weapons do they use other than MP5? Is L85 one of them?

And the SAS are basically a military force of their own so the gear Delta and the Rangers has is likely going to be relatively the same, maybe except for more British related weapons but even then they would also have access to their gear as well so you'll end up having a reskin of Delta and Rangers depending on how Delta comes out.

If you're speaking with authenticity in mind, they look largely like any other Western Special Operations Force. Lots of multicam (Though they still wore DPM variants during the time frame the devs are taking inspiration from) as well as various M4 (HK416s and L119s) and FN Minimi derivatives.

There's some short lived oddities like the HK51 that I'm sure the devs will want to include, but for the most part UK SOF don't have quite the same plethora of options as US SOF do.

Thats why i think the SBS and maritime and coastal based maps would be a great idea as a future DLC/update/Task Force South expansion rather than SAS with the SBS being able to insert quietly from the water using scuba/keppler canoes/RIBs.

But i wont go into it again. I've already explained my idea to the devs so i wont do it again here. Ill just be glad that there is some form of UKSF in the future. They dont get to much representation in games in my opinion(excluding COD). Anyway we should first see how Delta goes before the SAS. I think its gonna be a bit of a long wait before they drop.

Interestingly enough when the game first came out and before there even was the CIA the devs said that Delta would be the third unit with SWAT maybe coming later or afterwords. I guess things changed up along the way, that or a lot of people just wanted shields so they decided to do SWAT first
