Hi,

what you mean with "unable to save the replay"?

You talk about export them?
euri_euri Apr 24, 2021 @ 7:39am
They are there. Check the movie icon in the intro screen

You're welcome.

On this topic- how do you export them? I'd like to post a replay but I can't find the video file anywhere.

Hi,

actually the export options are:

Windows 10 integrated game recorder (Win + G)

Nvidia drivers integrated recorder

A third party free software like OBS. Or others.

Okay, so just play the replay and screencapture it with your tool of choice? Simple enough. Doorkickers 1 saved replays to a .mov in the game files, so that's why I asked. I figured that might be the same in Doorkickers 2.

Hi,

DK1 save the replay in .rpl files. Then there is an export function which create a mpeg file.

With Windows 10 and the avaibility of third party softwares, there isn't the urgency of provide an integrated export tool.

I also would like that option. Sure, you can use other tools, but having a proper export in the game would be lovely.

Totally understood, it's not a necessary feature. I was asking because I assumed the feature was there and I just couldn't find it. A one-click export would be nice, but like you said, low priority.

You're welcome.

Anyway, please wait a Devs' reply about the possibility to have an integrated export feature.

With the prevalence of windows and 3rd party video capture tools, we'd rather not implement our own. Even in DK1 we used some 3rd party library, and this lead to issues when we ported to other platforms.

It is not necessary, but would be cool. And ffmpeg is portable, as far as I am aware. I use the libraries myself.

There might have been a licensing issue that we hit, not a technical one.

No guides though. I assume, as mentioned, we play the video in game and just capture that playing with the 3rd party tools?
