Interacting with doors and windows
Is there a trick to interacting with doors and windows? In DK 1, you simply clicked on the door you wanted to interact with.
Here, clicking on the door itself does nothing (even though it is a highlighted field), and clicking on the trooper just opens his standard interaction menu, ignoring the door.
The prompt you need to click to actually open/break/flashbang the door itself seems to sit somewhere between the trooper and the door, but is overshadowed by both of the other fields. I often find myself zooming in to highest zoom and fiddling with the mouse for seconds until it finally comes up, especially in planning mode.

Please tell me I am missing something. If not, please add an option to just let me click the door itself like in DK1.

Hi,

please see next images.

1) This is when you place the path approaching a door:

Icon clearly visible and small dotted line to the door.

2) This is when you place the path at the center of the floor:

3) This is when you place the path across the door: immediately show the icon for choose the desired action. (See image #4)

4) The door action menu pressing the icon on image #3

If something is still not clear, please post a screenshoot so we can provide suggestions more specific.

Thanks.

I'm talking about this:

Example 1: Trooper command set across door (the door interaction is nowhere to be seen)

Example 2, Trooper besides door, ready to breach: I just noticed it is hard to see what I mean because the screenshots do not show the mouse position. but only a very small area triggers the "door interaction UI" to pop up. A few inches above or besides, it is "door - no interaction" and "trooper UI"

I tried the same map,

The door action menu is immediately clickable even before planning the path.

It's not just the one map. I've been playing again and I still have problems with it, the doorbreach UI is so much overlapped by the trooper UI and the "dead" door UI that it is constant fiddling.

Which is your monitor resolution?

Also, you are using a wireless mouse?

Thanks.

Devs need more informations because it's the first report about this.

1920x1080 borderless, and some wired Logitech mouse. But it seems to be more of a display issue than a mouse issue tbh.

Thanks for the info :)

The game run fluid? 60 fps with Steam FPS counter?

Thanks for caring ;)

Yes, it runs smooth at 60 fps. I just stumbled into the issue I am talking about while going through the suggestions thread, maybe this makes it more clear:

Waypoint selection is a little tricky when two points are close.
While the selection radius is larger than a point's visual radius, it's difficult to select a point when it's covered by its neighbor's invisible selection radius. Even if the mouse pointer is right above the desired point it still could be mistaken.

When drawing a route near a door (but not going thru it) the icon would change into a door kicking icon. When I stop drawing here and right click on the end of the route trying to change a breaching method, that ending point is considered as a common waypoint without any interaction options with the door. Same happens with other objects. In one of the tutorial mission I tried to arrest a vip. I circled around him for one minute, at last I drew a route to go through him then the arresting option finally showed up.

Ok, thanks for the further details, Devs will look into this.
