First of all, we sincerely apologize for not being able to release the update on time! We’d like to take this opportunity to explain the reasons and share the progress with everyone.
Two-Person Interactions
Two-person interactions have always been a core system in our game. Although we previously added more interactions and features, after trying it ourselves, it honestly felt like just adding more moves. It didn’t meet our goal of providing a more unique and thrilling experience for everyone!
After continuously exploring new ideas and testing different approaches, we’ve decided tocompletely redo the current two-person interaction system!
From interaction poses, phases of the interactions, dialogue during interactions, reactions to the surroundings, and more—we’ve redesigned everything from the ground up!
We’ve also started brand-new motion capture and voice recordings. Since the two-person interaction poses are quite difficult to capture, the post-capture adjustment process is very time-consuming. On top of that, the facial capture and recording involve tens of thousands of lines of dialogue... both the actors and our team are still hard at work on this part!
Train NPCs
In order to develop the train NPCs, we changed our character creation process and used different facial capture tools to make the characters more lively! Here are some of the girls you might encounter on the train.
We are experimenting with a variety of different prototypes, and the system will randomly combine and vary them, so each time you encounter a different girl!
Because each girl is unique—some are gentle, some are lively, and they have different preferences—we’ve also designed thousands of lines of dialogue to give them more personality for you to experience!
We hope everyone finds a girl they like to pursue. Whether you choose to chat to increase her affection or use other methods... you’re free to decide!
Main Story and Side Quests
Our game is centered around the storyline. As the story progresses, it introduces various systems, gameplay mechanics, and even two-person interactions, all aimed at enhancing your immersion! However, the downside of this approach is that it's difficult to release updates until the story reaches a certain point.
To shorten the update cycle, we’ve been actively developing modules like the train, where we can continuously add new characters, outfits, hairstyles, and even maps that are not tied to the storyline. We hope this will speed up future updates!
For the main story and two-person interactions, we’ve also created many new scenes.
Each scene is tightly connected to the plot, including new systems like elevators, markets for buying things, and more.
We are putting our full effort into crafting the open world and polishing every detail.
The mountain café and hidden realms are both explorable, and they each serve as great spots for two-person interactions!
Meticulously designed dreamlike scenes will create unforgettable memories!
New Character
As always, with each update, we will introduce a new character, each with her own unique story!
The development of game modules is highly uncertain and time-consuming, but we’ve made considerable progress. We are now focusing on the mass production phase, which is more predictable in terms of time. With the addition of new team members, we currently estimate that this phase will be completed by the second quarter of next year.
We understand that scrapping the core system we’ve already built is a risky and painful decision, and we’re about to face even more work ahead. But... we want to do better. We want to create the best game we possibly can, for all of you who continue to speak up for us and support us no matter what. Thank you for sticking with us through thick and thin. We hope we can go even further together!
Finally, we kindly ask for a little more time. We won’t give up, and we sincerely appreciate your support!
Just asking, because it's weird that a game like that keeps being re-designed if there is no constant outcome from it.
And if this is the case ouch... we could possibly never see it complete at all since there are many cases of patreon games that are just used to milk customers over and over...
YES, we all saw the 30th september update, YES we all read what they wrote, without any need to reproduce the whole text...
The problem (that you seem to be missing) is that they wrote that bunch of crap AFTER the february update in which they said they would release something in the third quarter of this year, that came AFTER A WHOLE YEAR when the studio went COMPLETELY DARK (so much that everyone tought that the game was abandoned), which came after another WHOLE YEAR where they didn't release ANYTHING. This makes something like TWO YEARS or more without any shred of a release.
There is a BIG DIFFERENCE betweeen SAYING that you did something and actually PROVING that you did, and some wall of text and some random shots of random buildings without any context mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
I'm positively baffled that after a super scam like The Day Before there are STILL people who defend such behavior.
A sage learns from history. A fool learns from experience. An idiot never learns.
well you might be right man, but I honestly think they are charging people in their local territory or on another platform to fund this. Steam comes last.
it was sold as an early access game and that means it might never get finished and we have no real recourse. Personally It was more complete then some early access games I've bought in the past and while I know this might upset some people, I feel I got my money's worth already.
I just generally check every couple of month and see if there is anything new and I'm not talking about posts about things they are working on but nobody has actually seen in real life.
if it gets and actual update cool, if not I'm not going to obsess over it.
How many wrong things did Aurora Studios do:
1.The developers at STEAM said very well that they would listen to the opinions of consumers. Yes, did the opinions raised by those who paid for school fees be listened to? (Similarly, a game progress report is made once a year)
2. The first major update has been delayed twice (Game Progress #5 1 is expected to launch a major update in December and Game Progress #6 hopes to update the main line and DLC before the end of January), and then, yes, because we want to
It’s Chinese New Year holiday so 88
3. After the release of game progress #7, TOGETHER BnB’s patreon will never follow you (what do you think of those users who paid 5 US dollars and 10 US dollars for support?
4. After two malicious delays, yes, it was announced that it would switch from UE4 to UE5 before it had a firm foothold, and it was ready to fly before it could recover its reputation (there are still a lot of vicious bugs that have not been fixed)
5. After 2 years of drawing the pie, what’s the result? It’s not just that the vote is bounced.
6. In the latest game progress 11, push those silent supporters to shut down and compete with those consumers who bought early and were deceived.
Summarize:
What this studio did is really disgusting, and then it bounced back several times, so a studio that has no integrity at all still wants players to believe you, you are a ghost
To put it bluntly, I’m not surprised that he will skip the second season.
Forget it. Most likely, the game has been abandoned and updates have ceased. "Starting over from scratch" is a major sign of a potential fiasco. It makes players subconsciously believe that the development team is working hard. This approach will consume a great deal of time, allowing them to buy more time to keep covering up lies. There has been no news for two years. If there was real progress, they would have updated their status long ago.
Excluding the "empty promises" on Steam, the latest updates on Twitter and YouTube also date back to February 2024. It seems they are just trying to squeeze as much money as possible from this potentially failed game. Making a wild guess, the beta version has already generated more revenue than expected for the full - version (at least the game sold fairly well in China). There is simply no need to continue investing in development, and it's highly likely that the development team has run off with the money.
Note: The last update made by the developers was over 2 years ago. The information and timeline described by the developers here may no longer be up to date.
Oh well...thank you Steam for update this useful info
