dude that girl in your profile pic is cute like the ones in BnB
what you described is Harem types which one of the many genre out there for sexual content games. everything else is blackmail/ntr/forced, etc. but i wouldn't mind consensual sharing in this game m/f/m or m/f/f sharing. at the end of the day this is just a game :)
most erotic games are visual novels and hentai games, which draw heavily on Japan's hentai culture, and I guess that's why they can survive even though they include abuse as core gameplay. They evade controversy the same way plain hentai does. People just ignore them. Personally, I hate that most hentai and dojinshi centers around rape. I take that as a sign of a sexually repressed culture. But I hypocritically read them anyway.
But when you create a "fully-fledged" game with realistic 3D graphics in Unreal engine, that stuff is hard to slip by. It's too close to reality. If gaming magazines get a hold of a game that realistically simulate women slave-trading for pornographic purposes, they wouldn't let it go till the end of time. Even if one doesn't care about all this, I think none of us wants to give fuel to Anita Sarkeesian's career (by proving her right).
Now, when you say:
You are not completely wrong. And I don't have yet a strong argument against this. But think about it. Suppose a company makes a porn game where you can have sex exclusively with children under 10, to cater to the "pedo market". Not a hentai game, a realistic game like this one. That would never fly. A game like that wouldn't see the light of day and the devs would be arrested. At what point do we draw the line?
I like to think of GTA. It's an award-winning game where you can do all sorts of crimes and atrocities. Why is it ok? I think it's because the main point of the game is not to allow the player to do that. GTA is not about killing hookers and civilians. It's about the life of street gangsters. The pleasure of the game derives from being able to experience that life, understanding motivations, hardships and philosophies of people that we, in our priviledged lives, will never be.
A game where the core mechanics are rape and slave-trading with the objective of deriving sexual pleasure from that, I think that's a totally different thing, and serves no good purpose. You can have the girls do all that you want them to do willingly, and that's realistic because it's mostly how it happens in real life, so where's the necessity of putting violence in the gameplay? There isn't, unless you want to derive pleasure specifically from being violent against women, without any other greater purpose.
dude its not real. video games not make you the bad guy irl or anything. call of duty players are not gun carrying red necks. i'm sorry a game depresses you this much or this genre of games make you feel this way. I strongly suggest put adult / sexual content on your ignore list. steam will not show them to you anymore.
1. reinforce prejudices and harmful stereotypes that one is barred from expressing in society. 2. feed a culture of discrimination by normalizing its stereotypes and violence.
3. Derive appreciation from one group of people at the expense of another.
4. Be an uninspired unecessary repetitive cashgrab recycling of previous installments.
5. Be a rushed, unoriginal, multi-million dollar production trying to brute-force a bad idea into profitability through sheer piles of money.
I'm sorry that I can't explain this argument without writing a PhD thesis. Let me put it this way:
- Call of Duty does not reinforce a culture of discrimination and violence.
- This game in its current state does.
Adult/sexual content doesn't depress me at all. There's a lot of good stuff out there, way more than there are bad. This is the reason why I bring this discussion: if it's so easy to do it the good way, why do it the bad way?to the guy preachin.. gtfo my hentai lawn before i sic the futanari on you!
hypocrite, why are you even here?
git!
