Auto-Language Translation with Textractor (Tutorial)

So some of you may not know this, but Future Fragments has functionality where if you press "Ctrl+C", it will copy any dialogue on-screen to your clipboard.

The reason this is useful, is to paste it into a translation website, but there's an even better way to use it, with a free program called "Textractor".

This program grabs whatever text you have on your clipboard, and then auto-translates it for you within the Textractor window.

Post-release, we plan on having an auto-copy feature for the text, so that the text will be automatically copied and grabbed by Textractor.

Also, while this software SHOULD be entirely safe and loads of people use it, as a disclaimer, we aren't responsible for whatever it may or may not do to your computer and we don't work with them/aren't affiliated with them.

HOW TO INSTALL TEXTRACTOR

• Step 1: Go download Textractor at https://github.com/Artikash/Textractor/releases, specifically "Textractor-5.2.0-Setup.exe", and install it for all users on your computer.
  
• Step 2: Go to wherever you installed it on your computer (defaults to your desktop), and open the "x86" folder, and run the "Textractor.exe" program.
  
• Step 3: This will open up a bunch of windows; find the one that says "Google Translate", and set the "Translate to" to whatever language you'd like the game to be translated to, and then set "Translate from" to English.
  
• Step 4: On the "Textractor" window, go to the dropdown bar at the middle-top of the window, the one with a lot of "FFFFFFFFFFFFF" showing in it, and pick "1:0:0:FFFFFFFFFFFF (etc.) Clipboard".
  
• Step 5: Start Future Fragments up and start playing it.
  
• Step 6: Whenever a cutscene comes up, press Ctrl+C on your keyboard to copy the text currently on-screen to your clipboard.

Once you've copied the text, it should auto-translate in the "Textractor" window for you to see.

Note that this is only a temporary setup, and that we would like to localize the game into different languages eventually.

However, it costs around $40,000+ minimum for a localization into a single language, if not more, which is something we can't afford right now.

So, we hope that for now, this is an adequate stop-gap for people who would like to see the story in their given language.
