game not launching

The game keeps trying to launch before saying it is for a second, crashing and nothing there. anyone know a fix to this?

There's something weird with how Steam treats the game for some users; the best way we've seen to fix it so far is to have to run it a few times, and eventually it'll verify the data and allow it to launch and you shouldn't have any problems after that.

We'll look into a fix though as soon as we can as to why this is happening.

Did you try resetting steam, etc.?
And what operating system are you on?

yes, tried uninstalling and reloading. I am on Windows

Same problem here as well. Running Windows 11 pro. First i thought it was the small new update. Because yesterday i could play it without probs.

Same issue, on windows11. Tried delete folder in roaming, restart the computer or change folder location & system language but all didn't work.

I just found it might cause by the audio drive or device. this kind of crash only happened as I turned on the amplifier and headphone. That sucks, no one likes to play this kind of game with sound out playing in poor soundproofing space(

Likely found the bug, if the OP can mark this as the answer if it works for them:

"The game did not run at all because external audio DAC is set to 32-Bit, 384000 Hz.
This is found under Settings -> System -> Sound -> Properties -> Format.

Lowering this value temporarily to 32 bit, 96000 Hz resolved the problem and the game launches without fault!"

Not able to get running Windows 11 xps 15, is what I have and I have external audio options of 24 bit 48000Hz and 16 bit 48000Hz.

How do I resolve this?

Go to setting-system-sound-select your device in output part -select the format and change it to at most 32 bit 96000hz
