Lock the fps?
I have 200fps in game but since my screen is 60hz I want to lock it, sadly vertical sync makes my fps go in the 1800, what can I do?

You can also do it through your GPU control panel if you want a quick and reliable way of doing it..

For example on Nvidia you would go to the Nvidia control panel, click Manage 3d settings, change the tab from global settings to "program settings", Click "Add" and browse for the .exe of the game and add it to the program list.

Scroll down and look for "Max frame rate" and set it to a little below your screen refresh rate ( e.g for 60Hz you would set it to 59fps to avoid tearing ) and then hit apply.

It should be similar with the AMD GPU control panel.

create a new text file with notepad, and add the following command to it :

GameTimeMaxVariableFPS 59.94

Click file -> save as -> change type from text file to "all", name it "user.cfg" without the quotes, and save it in your game directory..

steam-> steamapps -> common -> Battlefield Hardline

Did that but it doesn't seem to have changed anything, or maybe it's because I'm playing the campaign right now?

If you don't want to cap via a config file or the config file method doesn't work, you can also do it via steam launch options.

right click the game in steam, properties -> launch options and paste the command in there and then hit ok :)

Just played the game on a 5700 XT from Origin. Vsync worked without issues, limited to 120 Hz on my monitor.

vsync introduces input lag, Which is why most advise against it, You're better locking your FPS through your GPU control panel and then you can lock the fps to your refresh rate without the downside of input latency
