I would absolutely recommend it as a single-player campaign game only, but with a HUGE caveat: there's a very high chance you'll have trouble getting this game to run after your first time playing it, as early save files corrupt easily and you'll need to delete your entire "BFH" folder inside "My Documents" to fix it. The other thing is this game crashes CONSTANTLY once you get further into the campaign, which took a game I was having a TON of fun with and ruined it, because everytime I would die due to a bug or glitch or something else, the game would crash while loading from a checkpoint (on a high end PC) and takes FOREVER to get back into, even on a 970 Plus SSD from Samsung.

Basically, the campaign of this game is really awesome/you play as a police officer, but it's ruined by terrible optimization and an obtrusive cheat engine.

I would not. Tried to play it after taking advantage of the sale price and the thing will not launch - even in campaign mode - without installing something called punkbuster.

Same here, even though they say on their website that you could play without it.

Solved the problem: Just delete the Punkbuster installation files manually, then the game starts without prompting you to install it.

Worked for me.
See to it that the Battlelog Homepage can be opened and is not blocked by scriptblockers etc.. The page sometimes takes a while to load and communicate. That was another problem which locked me out of the game. Steam needs the page and Origin and they all communicate with each other. Highly impractical.

I had this game when it first released and had it on Playstation 4. I really enjoyed it and decided to get it on Steam while it was on sale.

It's not your conventional Battlefield because I mean it's cop's and Robber's but in my opinion it is a tonne of fun, even the multiplayer. Single player is great and It's really enjoyable for a BF story and the Multiplayer? Yeah sure, not many people play it, but I can guarantee you now you will find a server or two servers worth full of 64/64 players every day, I know I certainly have.

I say it's worth a shot and when I got it on sale at £8 it really was worth it. It's something different and in my opinion different is often quite good. :icecream:

I would. I've played the game and enjoyed the single player campaign very much. I wish the ending had been more conclusive, as I'm not too big a fan of open ended stories. I will say, though it, was a blast, even if the infinite handcuffs aren't realistic in any way, unless the player had some kind of handcuff designer.

Multiplayer is pretty barren, even with the BF 2042 hype. You'll have better luck with BF4.
