Have cheaters been dealt with?

Since EA sacrified this game running on steam deck (and i guess linux) has cheating actually been dealt with or were deck users thrown under the bus for nothing?

I've definitely seen less cheaters, but they're still around. Maybe 1 in 4 matches have a couple cheaters on both teams that make it a nightmare. Mostly it looks like whatever cheat makes it easy to headshot. They'd be staring at the ground or floor, then spin and dome you in the head. Super weird to see when you have the death spectate cam.

i play community games and i've rarely seen cheaters "NA"

If you are on NA, you should be glad. I'm in the inescapable hell called "Asian servers". Some of these mfs use ESP and try their best to act like they are not.

I recommend playing on community hosted servers. There are usually admins around and they kick them quickly.

DICE official servers are grounds for cheaters
community servers with active admins are the only way to play legit

Hi, Secret Stealth SWAT Squad. Yes, this is pretty much the best Battlefield game you can play that's not dead. The live players count proves this. Just play on admin run servers so hopefully you will be safer from ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like cheaters.

been killed multiple times by the same person through walls in multiple games, all i get in response when i bring it up to admins or anyone is "it happens bro oh well" or ill just get kicked for "causing something" when its blatant cheating over and over on multiple servers

Just had a game with 2 Cheaters on one team. Invisibility, Speedhack, Aimbot, unlimited Ammo and grenades, onehsots you with with MP18 etc. Oh yes those cheaters are so hard to detect and because of this it takes so long to ban them.

EA, you are STILL selling those games. You still earn money with Microtransactions. SO FOR GODS SAKE FIX THEM!

EDIT: A few games after: Plane Cheater. 91 Kills. With Fighter Plane. All Headshots. Disgusting.

I've been playing consistently in North America servers since the anticheat was added. From my experience (which is nearly 370 hours at this point), I have only ever ran into one hacker and this was on a DICE server. The guy had a Chinese name with high ping and had invisibility hacks and possible teleportation hacks.

Should this mean that you should avoid all DICE servers? Nah. This is one of those 1 in 100 kind of deals. HOWEVER, these servers are entirely unmoderated. There is a higher chance than normal you would run into one but even then it is rare.

As for the community servers like SaltyNoobs, TBG, KS, etc. you should be fine as those servers are quite moderated when it comes to hackers.




tl;dr

Yes for the most part cheaters has been dealt with. Most people the community typically cries about are megasweats. These people hops from server to server railing the whole lobby with 100 - 2 k/d or similar while swapping teams to the other one like it is their job or because autobalance.

Battlefield 5 on the other hand has a bigger hacking problem than Battlefield 1. I would avoid that game at all costs.

You don't know wtf you're talking about. I have been playing since 2017 and yes, they're cheaters in these servers ( excluding the custom ones obviously ) every day. At least one in a server. I think you're being dishonest about the problem. Or, you're just incredibly lucky. Or, you're not smart enough to detect cheaters who are far more subtle. Which many of them are. I have experienced cheating in games for over 20 years online. I know a cheater when I see one. Cheating now is a major problem in video games. The evidence is everywhere.


As far as you not listening to this thread, it's because you know you don't have a leg to stand on in this conversation. You are outnumbered by people who have seen these things happen. Time and time again. So do us all a favor and shhh.
