Possible that EA Anti-Cheat will break game?
Can't remember where I seen it, but I seen someone talking about how EA Anti-Cheat has broken some stuff in the games it is already present and had to be fixed.

I just bought this game to play multiplayer, and seeing this is basically an abandoned game, I'm worried about the game breaking and not getting fixed.

Anyone want to offer their two cents on the subject?

The only thing I can see breaking is the ability to play on Linux because of how the Anticheat works due to it being a low level kernel based anticheat rather than a service or server side as it was in past games.

Ah. Okay. Good to hear. Not for Linux users lol but yeah
As long as it doesn't break the mods I am using, I will be fine with it. There's a bunch of things on https://www.nexusmods.com/battlefield1 that I use, that I see fit as necessary tweaks and optimization for multiplayer gameplay.

It will 100% break mods just as it did with the BFV mods.

It's unfortunate but the game was never intended to be played with mods and I'd rather lose the ability to play with mods than to continue to suffer at the hands of cheaters who up until now have basically gotten away with it.

I see. Well, that is most unfortunate then. But remember, we're talking about official servers up until now - which are often dead. As I see it, the community manages the cheaters fine, mostly.

My main concern is that whatever this anticheat might do,it will most possibly disable the moderating tools used in the monitored servers, which will result at them being invaded too by cheaters. We'll see in about 5 days, tho.
