How to Fix the Stutter Issue - Updating Your Anticheat Guide
If you're still getting stutters that is. The anticheat team rep on EA forums has said that they've rolled out an update that addresses stutters "on certain CPUs". And, as far as I can tell, the game has finally been fixed.

Here's how you can do it:

  • In your game's directory, find the EAAnticheat folder
  • Select either one of the apps there and run it (preferably as administrator)
  • In there, click on the dropdown menu and select Battlefield 1
  • Click the Update option and wait for it to finish and that's it, close the app and enjoy your game

If only EA actually updated their anti cheat. Couldn't find a single game today without blatant cheater teleporting or 100+ kills.

Oh well, that's a whole different topic altogether :lunar2019grinningpig: I'm just glad to finally be able to play without constant lag.
Thank you so much for posting this, I can finally play the game again. Could you perhaps rename your title that would draw more attention to this thread? Perhaps something along the lines of " EA Anti-Cheat Stutter FIX" or "EA Anti-Cheat Stutter [SOLVED]".

UPDATE
So after still having this issue and tinkering with it for some time, I've come to the conclusion that the anticheat executables located in the game folder simply do not work. Why's that?
Well if you go and examine the properties of the launcher shipped with the game, it says that its version is 1.0.6832156 - dated 22 of November, so the very day it was implemented. This is the original version of the anticheat that has never been updated. The anticheat team rep on EA forum has said that the version that recieved an update addressing the stuttering on certain CPUs is 1.0.7699515 - or higher. The update option simply does not work on this launcher - I've tried it countless times. So how do you get the actual latest version of the anticheat?

What you need to do, is to download the anticheat from ea' own website - https://help.ea.com/en/help/pc/ea-anticheat/#install
Make sure to uninstall your current anticheat before that using my guide in the post above, just select the "delete all/uninstall all" option instead.
This launcher does not require to be in the game's directory as the anticheat is a separate installation on your pc.

IMPORTANT - DO NOT PUT THIS LAUNCHER ON YOUR SSD/NVME!

You can check if the anticheat you've downloaded is up to date by simply selecting the update option in the launcher - the latest anticheat will tell you that no update is necessary.

I've tested this extensively, and with this latest version (1.0.7933058 as of the time of writing this) my game runs flawlessly now.

P.S Note that because this anticheat is technically always running in the background, it can and will throttle the performance in other games you're playing! I've personally noticed the decrease in performance of as far as 20% in other games with this anticheat installed, and the games DO go back to normal once you uninstall it, so at least in my case, there was nothing else to rule out as it was pretty conclusive. So my advice, as tedious as it may sound, is to uninstall the anticheat using the launcher you've downloaded from EA website, each time you're done playing BF1 and want to play something else that is CPU-intensive.
Obviously, test things around for yourself, but if you happen to notice worse performance in some of your games these past few months - that is why.

WARNING - following the advice just above, my NVMe SSD just got bricked. I put the downloaded EA anticheat in my NVMe SSD last night, when I rebooted my PC I got Kernel Mode Heap Corruption BSOD and my SSD isn't detected by windows anymore, and isn't even detected in BIOS. Tried reseating my SSD and it got detected again in BIOS but as soon as I boot to Windows the same BSOD occurs. Entering safe mode didn't help, it shows my D driver but Windows can't access it. Tried to do something from device manager and I got the same BSOD.

I'm sure you didn't mean any harm OP, but I'm just telling people what I experienced from following your advice.

1. Not sure if you had the same issues I had at one stage but I had to reapply the NVMe SSD on the motherboard.
2. Start the PC up and switch it off.
3. Then proceed to reapply it once again until i got a blue screen that detected the issue which it then automatically restarted the PC fixing the issue.
4. Just some advice, if that caused the issue go back to what was working.

Jesus Christ, man, I'm sorry to hear that. I suppose I didn't test this extensively after all - well, I don't have an NVME, just a regular SSD that my game is on, and I've downloaded the anticheat launcher on my HDD.
Suppose I have to add a warning not to put this on a SSD - of any kind.

By the way, are you absolutely sure there wasn't anything else you put on your disc that day that could have corrupted it?

as far as I can tell, no. I never move downloaded files into my D drive unless necessary or if I directly download it to D, but I remember moving the anticheat into my D drive but not in the same folder as my game installation.

I can only blame EA for this. Not gonna install BF1 or any Battlefield with this Anticheat anymore. I love the game but sadly, this is goodbye.

Honestly sounds like EA's anti-cheat and support team are entirely run by AI, because no way can they screw it up this badly.

Their "EA App" also runs and looks like it was designed by a focus group that has never once gamed in their lives (also focuses more on selling you content, than what you already own/wish to play).
What if I have only one SSD and no HDD?

Честно. без понятия. Я не проверял на ССД и, после того как уже у двоих людей появились траблы с ними из-за античита, не планирую.
