It simply just won't start. The description for the error is "An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later"
The game worked fine previously, and just started happening yesterday. I have tried the following already to no avail:
- Reinstalling the game
- Verifying game files through Steam
- Running the EA app as admin
- Clearing the EA app cache
Im getting this as well, I read somewhere its due to the EA app itself, Im gonna be trying to find an installation of Origin and go from there.
Start by uninstalling the EA app from your system.
Edit the Registry:
Open the Registry Editor (press Win + R, type regedit, and hit Enter).
Navigate to the following path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EA Games
Delete the folder named Battlefield 1.
Verify Game Files on Steam:
Go to your Steam Library, locate Battlefield 1, right-click on it, and select Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files.
Reinstall the EA app automatically:
Try to launch Battlefield 1 from Steam without reinstalling the EA app. The game will prompt you to install the EA app automatically and will create a new folder with the correct path.
So...
EA, please stop employing talentless hacks based on the color of their hair, and start hiring REAL SOFTWARE ENGINEERS to do things properly!
I am so pissed right now at this terrible, horrible, miserable company!
