Bots used to populate a half-empty server is nothing new. But I feel like there's missing context. Most specifically, what kind of servers were these screenshots taken in?

yea there are a few popular servers that do this but i wont be naming them

this is called server seeding
more popular servers do this to inflate player counts and encourage people to join
sometimes you get rewards for seeding, most of the time you dont
because as it turns out most people dont want to join empty games

tbf its better in bf1 than it is in other bfs
in bf4 you dont even need a person physically in the server, you can spoof it completely and have a 64/64 server with 0 players

Daedooloos, bad news dude, BF1 servers also spoof fake 24/64 and 60/64 populations with ZERO people inside. Happens a ton on Operations.

It happens daily, not sure why you don't believe it. Try joining Operations USA servers in off-hours and you will see exactly one server with ~24/64 players and there is absolutely nobody inside.

Happened to me 2 times this week, these 2 screenshots.
I'm worried these servers turn BF1 to a dead game. I'm okay with 20 full servers, I just wait 1-5 minutes in the reserved slot to play the game, But these servers, trust me, after a year or two people abandon this game.

the bots are only used by server to make it look like its full in the server list as people dont join half empty servers these bots are removed once someone joins to take the place,i am an admin for a server and this is the only reason bots are used

You are wasting peoples time and trying to deceive. Let me know which server you run so I can blacklist it and report you to EA.

You sure it doesn't violate their EULA to spoof data sent to them?

You sure it doesn't violate their EULA to degrade the multiplayer experience of others, i.e. by running bots to trick people into joining dead servers?

you realise they only fill like 5 places at the bottom lmao your acting like the whole server is bots you need to grow up and stop spitting your dummy out over nothing it fills up in like 5 mins and then its all players your being absolutely ridiculous also the server has thousands of faves so its not a "dead server" you have no idea what your even enraged about or how its used bots only begin to spawn when it drops to less than 50 players and then once people join the bots disappear so they are there for like a few mins you really need to know about what your getting enraged about then you realise its nothing.these screenshots when are they taken at peak times what server he says nothing just a few screenshots to make it look like a problem which it isn't when used properly.
