I had the same issue, but disabling DirectX in the options seemed to fix it. But now the server browser says my ping is 200, even though its fine in game. Maybe try this?

It's very frustrating since I played for several hours without this error.

I had already done that, didn't work at all i have even changed in documents/options ''DX12'' lines to ''DX11''
A fairly common crash, unless it happens way too often, you shouldn't concern yourself with it. Do not use DX12 though.
Uninstall completely or use DDU to delete all files and traces of your NVIDIA drivers
Install latest drivers.

If That dosn'nt work
Go to This PC > Documents > Battlefield 1 > settings
Open the file PROFSAVE_profile with Notepad.
then find “GstRender.DX12Enabled” then set it to 0 “GstRender.DX12Enabled 0“.

DirectX function “Dx11Renderer:tryMap” failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED

This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing; try installing the latest drivers. Also, make sure you have a supported graphics card with at least 2GB.
