broken for me as well, since EA changed their anticheat it's no longer possible to run the game on Linux, so now they even block VMs to ensure you're absolutely forced to use windows.
EA being the worst video game company ever episode #154648647684

And it didn't even solve their problem, all it did was make it ours.

EA never cared about their community anyway, don't expect them to care about the smaller linux userbase.

the linux community doesn't cry or act as a victim to video games companies on social media so there is never any drama involved, mix that with misinformation and literal discrimination from windows players. meaning that companies don't ever care about a community of people, unless they cry and make noise on social media, and in this case it's never gonna happen.

apex recently blocked linux and steam deck as well, nobody cared.

Even though the linux user base isn't a large percentage it is growing fast with windows 10 ending support and entire governments starting to switch, if they continue this anti consumer practice they will lose a lot of players and support.

they won't lose the console market, which is already one of the biggest sources of income, and they won't lose enough players to justify spending money in order to modify their games or anticheats so that they work on linux, that would be pro consumer and EA doesn't care about that.
