Anti cheat causing lag?
After the recent Anti cheat update my game became too laggy to play... does anyone have similar issues? I have a lower ended pc but bf1 still used to run very well right before that update. Now even if i lower my settings and resolution it still lags... specs: i3-4130, 8gb ram, nvidia gtx-750ti

known issue and the fix is to go into your BF1 install directory, and then run the EAAC installer, click on the dropdown to select what game you want to update, select BF1 and hit update.

It doesn't mitigate the issue completely but it does improve things, At least it did for me on my EA App install.

your specs aren't great to begin with; in fact I am surprised it actually runs for you - but yes - on my 11th gen i7, 32 gb ddr4 and rtx 3050, i've noticed the occasional frame drop. Sometimes, but rarely, the game straight up freezes.

I've also been playing this game for years now on a 750ti, i5-4460 16gb ram, and before the update it used to run smoothly at 60fps, which is enough for me, but now i barely make 30. So this isn't a spec problem, the update clearly messed some stuff.

Do you know if there's a fix coming in the next updates? Cause i looked up on the EA forum and this problem is been more than a month now and there's still people like me who would like to play the game but can't anymore.

Actually yeah it is a spec problem.
60 fps in 2020s isn't enough for twitchy-reflex FPS gameplay. My eyes would start hurting and/or watering.

There's no doubt that EAAC caused fps drops, however even with them I maintain 100-120> FPS on my specs, on average. When I say "I am surprised it runs for you" it carries the implication that I assume the person is not lying - when they claim the ability of being able to play a game of, say, Operations from start to finish; "game" being two maps (or three in case of Oil).

My bad for misunderstanding, in my case atleast, i've never experienced looking through a monitor with more than 60hz so about the eyes starting to hurt i guess it's a "once you go 60hz+ you realize what you've been missing" scenario.
If the game ran for you before, it should still run.

That being said, your CPU is below minimum requirements for Battlefield 1, the i5 6600k is minimum and is around 50% faster than an i3 4130. I had an i5 4460 when it came out, terrible experience on that, being as it was below minimum. I got an i7 7700k which at the time was the fastest gaming CPU and the experience was still choppy.

Any CPU from 2019 or later absolutely smashes this game though. Like a Ryzen 7 3700X or i9 9900k. These parts can probably be obtained second hand quite cheap.

You can get a newer motherboards with 16gb or 32gb Ram with a great CPU pretty cheap these days if you want to go brand new.

Doing this reseted all my settings i think, and yeah it definitely improved most of it. i still get stutters whenever theres a artillery falling nearby. other than that had a pretty good session today :) Thnx!!
