The anti cheat update was long overdue. It's nice to see that something is finally happening and your multiplayer games are playable again ea. Please now also equip Star Wars Battlefront II 2017 with EA Anticheat and please don't let up!

let's be real for a second, there weren't that many linux and steam deck players on bf1 to begin with, and this is coming from said linux user. player numbers have not changed AT ALL after the anticheat update, either, i don't know where people get this from. EA should still burn in hell for not letting me play the game anymore though, nevermind that the anticheat doesn't seem to do anything

I understand the player base on Linux was not very high, but when you're talking about a game that is nearly 10 years old then every player counts. If you are someone who
enjoys playing the game and would like to see the servers be supported then including every non-cheating player onto the servers would be a benefit.

I am upset too that i can't play this great game anymore.
(i wont install a Windows 11 partition and de-bloat it anytime soon just to play this game)

That being said, i would not be salty if this actually got rid of the damn cheaters, as i hated them too with a burning passion.... but they are still there! like nothing happened!
So what did anyone gain from this? nothing! I read allot of problems from players here.. so they got that, on top of some shady rootkit that sends your data to a shady server. Imagine hackers get their fingers into THAT.
